Brandon Jackson Defends Himself Against White Mob, Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison
Brandon Jackson was reportedly jumped by 7 or 8 white men in 2006. One would think that the white men would’ve been charged with a crime, maybe even a hate crime, but actually the reverse happened. Six years after the fact, Jackson was sentenced to 12 years in prison for attempted murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon he reportedly used to defend himself against the mob.
The fight began when Jackson was helping his employer move furniture when he noticed a rowdy group of intoxicated whites fighting across the street. He ran over to get a closer look, when one of the intoxicated fighters swung on Jackson.
Jackson tried to run, but was chased by the aggressor, who was now accompanied by 7 to 8 other white men, who followed Brandon and then reportedly began stomping and kicking him while yelling, “Kill the n*gger!”
In a recent interview with News One, Brandon’s mother says she hasn’t lost faith and won’t give up on freeing her son.

Derrick, caucasians have trained/taught/brainwashed the black man and woman to pray to a white man seen on a cross with long hair to fix all their worldly problems. Caucasians have taught black people to put their faith and rely on the white man on the cross and NOT do for self….how’s that working out for you? The first step in recovery is to admit there is a problem but, black people refuse to acknowledge that praying to a white man on a cross is futile. If you pay close attention to the movie “Gangs of New York” there is a scene where the white citizens decide to rebel against the government, the first thing they did was seek out the BLACKS to make an example of their outrage over the civil war by burning, hanging, shooting black men, women and children. The white New Yorkers blamed Lincoln and ALL black people for the civil war. The director- Martin Scorsese said in 1842 this horrific scene actually took place. Black people- instead of buying gold teeth, spinning rims, expensive cheap sneakers and a host of other BS, black you need to stock pile automatic weapons and ammo. Because, one day the racist portion of the caucasian race will mount an all out attack against YOU- America’s black race and don’t expect anyone to come to your recuse, you will have to defend for yourself. We need an Intolerance Movement to protest these situations and show the world who America really is. These incidents occur over and over-no wonder we hate ourselves. They constantly take someone’s future away but we need to fight back. What about the couple who were shot by police-(12 white and one hispanic) 137 times in Cleveland or the young high school student shot to death by a white man who approached him for playing his music too loud-can you say Florida? All of these are racially motivated incidences just like Trayvon Martin. We can no longer talk we must act!! For those who pray, yes, we need that but God gave you the tools to help yourself.

Gloria explains, “We have a letter from a lab tech that stated that the knife was presented to her twice. The first time it [the knife] only had the [DNA of the] individual that was slashed — none of Brandon’s DNA — but the second time, the seal was broken and Brandon’s DNA was also on the knife. So clearly there was evidence of tampering, but there was so many things that the judge allowed the prosecutor to do, but blocked the defense attorneys, throughout the course of the trial.”

This cannot go on. There has never been justice for black people in America and the injustice continues daily. Please – there must be a way for something to be done for this man. Don’t let this issue fade out of site. There has to be a process that can overturn this outrageous prison sentence. I am white and today, yet again, I feel nothing but shame for the way certain people of my race continue to treat other people.

The problem is with his court appointed attorney/public defender…
They did not do their job; but actually helped the prosecution do their’s…
The attorney obviously did not select an appropriate jury for this trial…
The judge allowed the prosecution to do whatever, as long as the defense did not object (which they did not)…
Good news is that this case can be won on appeal:
1) in-effective counsel
2) prosecution withholding evidence
3) the judge not allowing the defense to present their case
These are three separate areas for appeal…
The court used the ignorance of the defendant and the defendant’s mother to proceed…
Ignorance of the law is no excuse…
If we as a race would quit believing in the perverted catholic, then things would go our way…instead, we would rather listen to lies, turn our backs to reading books and researching, and then cry for help when we get rail-roaded…
The LAW is written in COMMON SENSE…but we would rather take a deal with the devil, or just out right believe the devil…
At some point during this trial, the defendant and/or his family should have known what all of the attorney’s were doing, and that includes the judge and exercised their right to have everyone involved removed…
But since they did not know (like so many), then ignorance prevailed…

It’s confusing that we as black people continue to ask the law for help. We seem to always expect justice from people who openly hate you, teach their next generations to hate you and continue to twist the law to hurt you in any way that can.
This is not an isolated or surprising incident and unless there is some sort of open mass commitment or gathering for cases like these the general public will not respond. What we need to do is a nationwide non violent stand to show the world that we will not tolerate legal injustice.
We should choose a day and march on Washington as a whole.
What are WE willing to do for ourselves other than complain about abuse?
I am willing to stand with anyone who will organize a open stand against social injustice.

Perhaps the reporter has contact with the boy’s mother. Change.org. It was the same resource tool Trayvon’s parents used to getting public pressure mounted up against their local government to arrest and charge Zimmerman.

But only young brother is arrested and charged with a crime. 7 years later, young brother is convicted and sentenced to 12 years in prison……..What is wrong with this picture. 1. I can definitely understand Derricks frustration and anger. But there is a God who I pray to and it is not the picture that you see in most bibles. There is a higher being. I do not go to church or evenr ead the bible, but I feel a closeness to my higher power. As far as this case, it breaks my heart that this young man is serving time for defending himself. And he should not be called dumb, just for being curious as all teens are, spectaing fights and such. Never blame the victim LarryJ. His councel and the communit failed him. And the judge needs to be horse whipped. I am praying for something miraculous to happen in his appeal.

When you get the Prosecuting Attorney’s office involved, they have those prosecutors that have no mercy and they will do anything to win a case. There are cases after cases that prove it and when you have a prosecutor that does not have any compassion this is what you will get. If they are found to be wrong and you are found to be innocent, they have immunity. It is a lose-lose situation for anyone.

I have to agree with MsPeppa. Never blame the victim and people should stop sterotyping all people. In one breath you’re talking about how ignorant “negroid’s are, as Derrick stated,” and the next sentence you’re talking about hating white people. Nevertheless, the main focus is a childs’ life is at stake. Thanks to the internet his voice is being heard. The internet can be used to make a lot of noise. Let’s use our intelligence and circulate a petition that sounds around the world. Go to your local news stations and radio stations. Let’s write to the Government of the state this young man lives in. There are so many ways of getting this message out to the masses. So let’s stop blaming and start doing something to actually help this young brother and his family. If the family needs money for legal fees let’s set up a way the family can get donations via the internet. I am going to do whatever I can do to help this young innocent brother. This is such ashame. This young man was only trying to defend himself and now ends up getting 12 years in prison. This is such a racist country. I’m praying for this young man!
