Ask Black America: Is It OK for Black People to Ask for Government Help or Is it Freeloading?
There are those in the black community who feel that African Americans are too dependent on government and should focus more on self-sufficiency. At the same time, there are also those in the Right Wing who identify African Americans are the most dependent on government to solve their problems.
But there are corporations and banks constantly asking for government bailouts, American citizens asking President Obama to spend money to fix the ailing economy and other special interest groups seeking the governments help to solve their problems. Given that African Americans are taxpayers too, shouldn’t they also have the right to ask for help from the government?
So, we asked black America the following question: “A lot of people say that “black people should do it for themselves and not ask for help from the government.” But given that we pay taxes and whites ask for help from the government, do you think this is a double-standard?”

Michael Imhotep It’s not a double standard but we are overly dependent upon the government. I have never seen another ethnic group in the modern era marching for jobs who at the same time spend 98% of their disposable income at businesses that they don’t own. Whatever you blame you empower. Yes European White Supremacy and Racism exist. Anyone who listens to my show or has heard my lecture, “The Media’s Deliberate Destruction Of The African-American Family” knows this. I would ask the question what are we doing to create employment for ourselves and to become self reliant. If Europeans can’t create enough jobs for themselves and their children, what do you think they are creating for us and our children? Maybe more prison cells so they can profit off of ourincarceration and slave labor. -

Tired of whining about what others won’t let us do. h**l everybody else is making it happen. How do they think these people who come to our country make it when they come with nothing most times? Of course I’m not talking about these things middle easterners who open businesses in the hoods and over charge black folks and treat us like s**t too! -

Black people are no more freeloading from the government than the government stealing, and freeloading from black people in Africa. Check out the amount of OIL, DIAMOND, COPPER, COBOLT and all the precious metal that are being stole from black people of Africa, by the USA, FRENCE, ENGLAND, GERMANY, and many others. So if we were getting something from this government for nothing, it come no where close to what they are stealing from black people all over the world.Furthermore the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is another way that they are draining black people in the developing world for every penny that hey posses.
I don’t have a d**n problem using thier benefits when I was making 25.00 a d**n hour and forced to resign all due to a bigot of a supervisor who hated me. I will live, eat, go to college, etc and think nothin of it. I was making a REAL life for myself but white america feared I would surpass them. So now TAKE CARE OF ME! If Obama would get rid of the corrupt EEOC we Like myself, may can keep our jobs. I was an I.T. Specialist for 16 years. I would have been able to retire in 2019 with full benefits only to be out here trying to make another life for myself in my early 50′s. P*SS ON THE GOVERNMENT! They all crooks anyway. This country will never beable to stand just like many families these days. WITHOUT TRUTH nothing or no one will be able to stand. They lied on me and set me up good. So now take care of me.
