The Mormon Church Baptized Pres. Obama’s Mother…After She Was Dead
It has been determined that Barack Obama’s mother, Ann Dunham, was baptized by the Mormon Church after her death. The baptism occurred five months before the 2008 presidential election.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints confirmed that the president’s mother was baptized into the Mormon faith, and it doesn’t appear that the president wanted this to happen. Dunham died in 1995 from cancer and after President Obama received enough delegate support to win the Democratic nomination for president, someone in the Mormon church improperly conducted the ceremony.
The baptism was first reported by AMERICAblog’s John Aravosis. Aravosis found the record on the Mormon genealogical website, FamilySearch.org.
Mormon Church spokeswoman Kim Farah gave this statement: “The offering of baptism to our deceased ancestors is a sacred practice to us and it is counter to Church policy for a Church member to submit names for baptism for persons to whom they are not related. The Church is looking into the circumstances of how this happened and does not yet have all the facts. However, this is a serious matter and we are treating it as such.”

I was raized a baptist. I dont think that what was done to her body hurt anything, I dont think what the baptism Helped anything EITHER…..Got many more questions about religion than answers……..I say if your raised in one faith from the day you know anything that s what you believe. If I had been born Catholic I think I would believe what that church believes. It is just what you learn to be right early in life sticks with you, always. It is called faith for a reason. Live by the 10 commandment as much as you can. Love thy neighbor. God knows us all and what we have done. So he is the last to judge us. I dont think that some water put on a body dead or alive does anything at all. You do that to do as Jesus instructed us to do.

This is rubbish and another example of the idiocy and craziness of religious factions throughout this world. The Mormons claim to have done the same thing with the millions of Holocaust victims which has the Jewish religious leaders upset according to NPR Radio as of last week. This is the same thing that happened with the Presidents mother which they had no right to do. I have seen several rituals of baptism and they all included the living soul (person) in front of the priest or minister were the person was sprinkled with so called holy water or in some cases dunked in a river, pond or pool inside the church for such purpose. I have no idea how they conduct their baptism of someone or millions of already dead people, but my best guess is it is some ritualistic ceremony of little significance other to make them appear to be doing something special for the deceased. Also, what gave them the right to assume the president’s mother or the other millions of people had never been baptized.

Honestly, this is kind of a provocative story due to the fact that it omits a key piece of information, that piece of information being that we all have dead relatives they’ve done this to. maybe this will stop all of the confusion. baptism will not save anyone. baptism is to show that you are cleaned on the inside.(by accepting jesus christ as your savior) but it shows cleaniness on the outside. that man may see.
