There are MANY facts missing from this biased story, which explains why so many comments are misguided. She was not defending herself, she left the house, got the gun, came back and shot near the kids.

She was offered 3 years, which would have been fair, and decided to roll the dice. She chose poorly. Maybe her attorneys gave her bad advice? Who knows? She should have taken the 3 years.

I am not technologically knowledgeable enough to know how to set up a website to gather petition signatures, but PLEASE, someone who knows how to do this and will also take responsibility to get these electronic signatures of outrage at the racist disgusting judicial response to a black woman’s completely justified attempt to save her own life, printed and presented to both the attorney general and the governor of the state, DO SO !!
And contact the Innocence Project as well. (I am also recovering from acute renal failure and almost died, or I would find some way to get some one to help me do this myself. I know it is everybody’s responsibility to do whatever they can.

The company COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA (OR YOUR LOCAL STATE’S POLITICAL SUB DIVISION) has an agency, BUREAU OF POLICE that administers the operations of “police Departments”. The Local Rules Of Court contains jurisdiction or limits of police powers, READ THE LOCAL RULES IN YOUR AREA,( IT WILL BE HELPFUL IF OR WHEN YOU ENCOUNTER ONE OF IT’S EMPLOYES). I have had several encounters recently( and I just want to get back to normal) and in perusing it’s documentation there is box checked that reads ‘POLICE PROSECUTION’. So I did a search on the www and found

Ladies and Gentlemen A “POLICE PROSECUTION” is a foreign process not of this land.

The Magistrate Judge is and I quote from above “a police prosecutor who appears on behalf of the police officer making the complaint or charge against the defendant. The prosecution section prepares and prosecutes police cases in court and in some instances, decides whether proceedings should be instigated or discontinued.”

THIS LAND IS UNDER FOREIGN OCCUPATION AND WE SEE THEM EVERYDAY THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT. NO WONDER WE CAN NOT PROSECUTE THE POLICE!!!!

This situation with Marissa is just an outright miscarriage of justice….bad treatment…and a good example of the awful way that so many Black folks have been treated in the socalled “Justice System.” She had a restraining order on that husband of hers. What about that? I hope she can get some attorneys and others to help her fight this case. And to add some salt into the wound …her prosecutor is the same one doing the Trayvon Martin case. Zimmerman killed someone and is still walking around telling lies to the press. This is just sick.

I’d assume that MOST of us are African-American who are sitting here reading this, and NOBODY has started an online petition to do something about this? We just got one of our own re-elected into the highest office in the land with a LOT of Internet support platforms….and ALL of our Tech-Savvy people(Dr. B, Tavis, Yvette and Co.,) cant get organized enough to make the same online resources that worked TWICE in our election to bear HEAVY WEIGHT in coming to this Sisters rescue?!?!…. “Chatting, Gameboy and commenting isn’t all this thing is good for! It seems as if we’re always fighting the wrong battles——maybe we should fight for the right within ourselves for SELF CONTROL when any situation gets deadly and deal with the JUSTICE SYSTEM through the JUSTICE SYSTEM–(more lawyers more knowledge of the system and how to get involved in it.)
