Miami Cops Fired For Ignoring 911 Calls To Spend Intimate Time With Girlfriends
Gross abuse on behalf of our most trusted public officials (e.g., fireman and police officers) is sobering for many Americans to understand, once scandal erupts, which is exactly what happened on the Miami-Dade County Police force. The officers were disciplined for outrageous acts which showed their disregard for the public trust.
It is hard to imagine police officers brazenly ignoring 911 calls but it recently happened with the Miami-Dade Police squad. One sergeant and two officers were fired from the force for dereliction of duty while three others have been suspended without pay, pending an investigation. Internal Affairs, who are responsible for investigating the officers, believe this is one of the most embarrassing incidents of delinquency in the department’s history.
The officers ignored repeated 911 emergency calls including a 5-month-old choking baby. The officer involved was observed drinking coffee for nine minutes while ignoring the call regarding the unconscious infant. One of the officers, was spotted, on two occasions, ignoring high level calls involving armed robbery and burglary. While ignoring the calls, the officers opted for a little intimate time with girlfriends, instead. The officers went about their duties not knowing they were being followed and filmed by investigators.
Local affiliate NBC6 confirms Officers Socarras, Gonzalez, and Jose Huerta have been fired, according to MDPD internal affairs documents. Others on the squad have been disciplined.
It remains to be seen what else will be uncovered when Internal Affairs starts to really take a look at all the things that have been going on in Miami Dade County. The problem with an investigation is that once it is initiated, no one knows what kind of skeletons will come tumbling out of the closet.

This story makes one wonder — how widespread is this problem? We have a rogue cop now running around killing cops in CA…who posted claims that the LAPD is corrupt and racist. It is all disgusting.
Some one should observe those NYPD police officers parked in their patrol cars in isolated areas and cat napping on job and public time…….
