Deciphering the Sequester
During the ever-evolving battle between President Obama and Republican John Boehner, New York Timescolumnist Charles M. Blow weighs in on the latest financial crisis, the sequester.
But I’m not sure where all this you-are-the-father origination blame game gets us.
The bill got bipartisan support in the House and at the time Boehner bragged:
“When you look at this final agreement that we came to with the White House, I got 98 percent of what I wanted. I’m pretty happy.”
And President Obama signed it.
None of this changes the fact that the sequester is still bearing down on us, and it still holds horrible consequences that we didn’t think we’d be facing.
Now we are stuck in a vicious fight about what, if anything, can be done to prevent it and protect an economy that is just beginning to emerge from the muck.
According to the Bipartisan Policy Center, “Our estimate of approximately one million lost jobs due to sequester remains our base case if a full sequester occurs as scheduled on March 1.”
So once again the American people are caught in the middle of a game of chicken between Democrats, who rightly warn that the sky could fall, and Republicans, who want to burn the coop.

The Sequester was suppose to be a last resort measure set up to encourage both parties to come to an agreement on how to reduce the deficit. Even that SUPER COMMITTEE could not reach and agreement, mostly because the Republicans would not agree with raising taxes even a dollar.
The GOP is following the madness of the TEA PARTY, which is deep into the ideas of that selfish Russian AYN RAND. They are not really talking about “reducing spending and waste”…or you would hear them talking about cutting subsidies to BIG OIL and to RICH FARMS….getting rid of tax breaks for companies that move jobs overseas. They are not talking about cutting funds that pay for all sorts of military equipment that we do not need…as we can already blow the world up 1000X and spend more on that than ALL THE OTHER COUNTRIES ON EARTH. They would be talking about cutting funds that go to military bases overseas in countries that can afford to pay for their own.
Most of the wealth has moved into the hands of a few. We are in the richest country in the world….but there are rightwing politicians in Congress who just won’t tax the billionaires and the rich corporations another dollar to pay for those expensive wars…. and military bases around the world.
But…YES…. let’s cut out some jobs for airport workers…some meat inspectors….some health care for kids…and benefits for that 47% of the “moochers” …. those stuggling, unemployed people that have been repeatedly screwed by the GOP for many years.”
The whole deal on these deficits were caused by BUSH/CHENEY who wiped out the Clinton SURPLUS….let Wall Street banksters run wild and crash the economy….ran up trillion$ for 2 ten year wars — and many other irresponsible acts that put us into huge debt.

FYI the tax was raised on the rich in January, the President is asking to raise again, and he will do it again and again, until finally the rich who own or head the business and pay all the tax decide to now send it all the manufacturing to China and their cash off shore.

Do you have any idea why the wealthy are leaving New York and California? High taxes!
As great as America is, if you are wealthy it really does not matter where in the world you live, you have access to the same things!

OK I’ll try one more time! You make $134,000 per year, your boss say’s he going to give you a 10% raise, however he comes to you later and say’s because of the decline in our stock value I can only give you a 8% raise. ( Please check the facts)
Instead of $13,400 you get $10,720, now tell me, you now can’t have to have the car washed every week, you fire the house cleaner, you can’t pay for the cell phone, and have to cut your own grass.
No! Not even that, nothing will change!
The President is going to make this look like the world is falling apart just to make a point. Nothing has to change but he is going to make or allow something to happen again to make a point.
The people don’t count, only his rich friends, He has that attitude that many of us get. (I got mine you get yours the best way that you know how)

President Obama’s ship is taking on water, you can stay on board if you like, I for one am not going down with it!
Sequester simply is those demonic tea Party idiots hating seeing America becoming a Brown and black majority period!
