Ann Coulter: ‘If You Compare White Populations, U.S. Has Same Murder Rate As Belgium’
According to right wing pundit Ann Coulter, gun crime is largely an African-American and Latino problem, and one shouldn’t equate American gun crime with
black and brown crime.
Ann Coulter said on Monday that the United States has a demographic problem rather than a gun problem, arguing that the country has a comparable murder rate to Belgium “if you compare white populations.”
Coulter, who said she has just returned from a trip to England, noted that residents there “have not bought into this whole diversity enthusiasm.”
“On the gun crimes, we keep hearing how low they are in Europe, and oh, they’re so low, and they have no guns,” Coulter told Fox’s Sean Hannity. “If you compare white populations, we have the same murder rate as Belgium.”
So, according to Coulter’s thinking, it is the black and brown people in this country who are really doing most of the damage and causing the uptick in violent crime. Of course, Coulter didn’t provide any data to back up her assertion.
Is Coulter trying to sneakily make the case that black and brown Americans in this country are somehow less capable of not acting violently than their white counterparts? Or is she using her assertion to make the case for closing America’s borders?
Coulter didn’t make it at all clear where she was headed in this analysis, only making the case that non-whites, at least according to her data, commit more violent acts than their white counterparts. And really, it doesn’t matter where she was going, because such an assertion is bound to get Fox viewers celebrating with jubilee. And wasn’t that really the point?

For her to compare the violent white folks who have been shooting up schools, theatres, temples, etc. in the U.S. to any other group in Europe is just OUTRAGEOUS !!! The cultures, laws and situations are apples and oranges.

All this time they had cynically said that gun-related deaths were Blacks’ neighborhood problems – implying that angels live White neighborhoods. Now with recent deaths of 26 people gunned down, an urge has emerged to find gun violence solutions. I know funds and several ideas are being floated around. I hope these ideas and funds will rub on inner city programs to reduce this violence. For years republicans had ignored deaths of Blacks in inner cities – calling it, as Ann Coulter today, Blacks problems. Now gun violence has hit predominantly White neighborhood and everybody has woke up. They now recognize the problem of having too many rifles and guns with wrong people is not Black’s alone but also White’s problem. Ann Coulter with her evil friends are now stuck with their stupid belief. They cannot say gun-violence Blacks’ problem only. They realize gun violence can be in Whites neighborhood problem. My proposed solutions: We must have real police officers in schools. We can contract with cities or counties to have their police officers patrol our school premises. Police are trained to confront dangerous people and have given their lives to protect us. Further, there should be cameras in classes and outside school buildings to scan anybody dangerous coming. We should have signs “Trespassers will be arrested and prosecuted.” Do not hire security guards. Contract with cities for real police officers. Finally, I want to advice Ann Coulter, O’rielly, Hannity, Rush and other right-wing morons to stop defaming Blacks as killers.

The only category of crime Blacks exceed whites is armed / strong-armed robbery [categorized as a violent crime but the main motive is economics]. For all other serious crime categories white commit 2-3Xs as many offenses as Blacks [total crime whites 69.5% - Blacks 28% - total acts of violent crime: whites: 254,620 — Blacks: 163,670]. The main issue w Black crime is that it’s most often Black on Black crime [IE: 94% of Black homicide victims killed by other Blacks].
