Crazy as Ever: Rep. Michele Bachmann Still Calling Obama a Radical Islamist

After Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) was almost defeated in her reelection bid, most observers thought thw close call would result in Bachmann being a little less crazy. They were wrong. Apparently this is not just some act Bachmann was putting up to rally her base. Regrettably, she really is nuts, and she’s not going to stop being nuts.

In a recent radio interview, Bachmann said that the people of Israel are in grave danger because of President Obama’s support of radical Islam:

President Obama, if you look at nearly every decision he has made about this issue, it is to lift up the Islamists and to take down Israel.

Note how Bachmann doesn’t list any decisions, just tells listeners that if they look at it, they too will see that Obama is a  threat to Israel. No evidence needed, just insinuation, I guess.

Bachmann also used the interview to push the fully debunked myth that President Obama wants to push Muslim Sharia law on Americans, saying he wants to  force Americans to study Islamic materials in the same way people studied Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf during WWII.

So, according to Bachmann, Obama is sort of a n**i sympathizer and a secret radical Muslim. He’s also a socialist and a manchurian puppet candidate, at least according to other right wing conspiracy theories.

Recently Mother Jones put together a list of all of the right wing conspiracy theories about Obama to prove just how unhinged folks like Bachmann are. It would be funny if it wasn’t so sad and dangerous.
