Conservative Author Says Kwanzaa and Welfare Are Ungodly

swimpStacy Swimp, a conservative author has made a bold statement saying that Black people who depend on welfare and celebrate Kwanzaa are “anti-God.” Swimp who is a spokesman for black conservative group Project 21, even charges that large churches, like the ones in Detroit,  are detrimental to Black people because they embrace liberalism.

Dependence on welfare and celebrating Kwanzaa are “anti-God,” according to an author who visited the Charlie Langton show Friday morning to outline where he believes religion and liberalism have failed black people.

Stacy Swimp, a spokesman for black conservative group Project 21, has a basic premise that says church communities — like the large ones in Detroit — are ruining black culture by embracing liberalism. He also believes any religion that embraces liberalism is hypocritical, Swimp said. Read Swimp’s entire article on the subject HERE.

He specifically takes aim at Kwanzaa, the African American-themed celebration of Christmas. The celebration is based on seven principles, including unity, self-determination, responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith. Swimp believes it’s a liberal ruse.

“Black liberals who are professing to embrace these so-called principles are actually deceiving themselves, because liberalism is a direct affront to each of the principles taught in the Kwanzaa celebration,” Swimp wrote. “I would, quite honestly, be very excited if liberals where to actually put into practice these principles which they so superficially celebrate.”

Swimp added that “no conservative” celebrates Kwanzaa, which he describes as an anti-God, anti-American celebration meant to distract black people from the true meaning of Christmas.

Detroit’s Rev. D. Alexander Bullock also appeared on the show, saying everything Swimp said was nonsense.

“I do celebrate Kwanzaa, celebrate Christmas as well,” Bullock said. “First of all, the brother (Swimp) has said black liberals … don’t believe in God, that’s not true. If there is somebody who has a liberal philosophy, like say, Dr. Martin Luther King … He’s a man of faith, he would be a black liberal.”

Swimp said churches support liberalism when they have large parishes of people on welfare, in and out of prison, have unmarried people with children, and tell women they should be able to choose an abortion. And many of those same churches urge the celebration of Kwanzaa, he believes.

“When 80 percent of the (Planned Parenthood) clinics are located in black urban communities, that tells you something,” Swimp said.

Swimp believes a lot of black people who celebrate Kwanzaa and hypocrites because they don’t follow the principles of traditional Christian religion, although they do go to church.

“Concern for the poor is a good thing,” Bullock said, adding, “To equate concern for the poor with slavery … If conservatives were in control, then Lincoln would not have emancipated African Americans, we would still be in slavery.”

Swimp said, “You don’t enable people you care about (with welfare).”

As the talk got more heated — and broad — caller Leroy in Detroit weighed in, saying, “Black people are now in worse condition than we were when we came out of slavery, employment, disease — we’re behind in everything, and we weren’t like that before. Look at Detroit Public Schools, where kids graduate who can’t even read.”

Several noted that 97 percent of people who voted in the last election in Detroit voted for Barack Obama for president. “Detroit is one of the poorest urban communities in this country … It is the most economically deprived community in the nation and most of the leaders in this city are liberal Democrats … They want to blame conservatives for their own self-destruction,” Swimp said.

Rev. Bullock said, “I can be proud of the (president’s) franchise, black people decided who they were going to vote for and they voted … It’s the liberal voters that created education, Detroit was a booming city, all of that was the result of liberal policies.” He added that later unfair trade policies sent jobs overseas and destroyed the local economy.

But liberals are moving away from religion and toward atheism, chimed in Jackie Paige, a local TV and radio personality, noting that isn’t a good trend for Rev. Bullock and his powerful Detroit churches.

“I see a hunger for a spiritual awareness, it that’s Christianity fine, if that’s Islam fine … But find a spirituality that fits you,” Bullock said.

He added: ”I got a dream that Stacy will get his mind together.”

This man Swimp is another RIGHTWING NUT…another “super holy” Republican who does not know what he is talking about….and wants to push his brand of religion on folks. These are the same politicians and blind negroes like Allen West, Mia Love, Herman Cain, Jesse Lee Peterson…and others — who suck up after the Republican Party…the same party that crashed the entire economy in 2007 – 2008.

Those who have so much outrageous. petty criticism of Pres. Obama seldom say a word about these crazy negroes who get in the news and say stupid things like this REPUBLICAN. They are generally claiming to be the “most super religious” of all.

It is the REPUBLICAN PARTY that has caused so many economic hardships in this country…letting companies ship jobs overseas, starting expensive wars, financing BIG OIL, Wall Street running wild, etc.

KWANZAA is not a “religious” holiday…it is a “cultural celebration.” The principles are based upon “uplifting and empowering our community.” In fact, this celebration actually dates back many years to Africa rituals when they celebrated when there was a good “harvest.”

If you don’t believe Mr. Stacy Swimp (made up name) is not a true American, consider his patriotic tie without the customary lapel pin.

Christmas and many of its popular customs and trappings are nowhere set forth in the Bible. During the days of Jesus’ apostles in the first century, the early Christians had no knowledge of Christmas as we know it. But, as a part of the Roman Empire, they may have noted the Roman observance of the Saturnalia while they themselves persisted in celebrating the customary “feasts of the Lord” (listed in Leviticus 23).

Instead of worshipping the sun god, converts were told to worship the Son of God. The focus of the holiday subtly changed, but the traditional pagan customs and practices remained fundamentally unchanged. Old religious customs involving holly,
ivy, mistletoe and evergreen trees were given invented “Christian” meanings. We should keep in mind that Jesus Christ warns us to beware of things that masquerade as something they are not (Matthew 7:15
    ; compare Isaiah 5:20
    ; 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

    ).

It’s quite odd, that this *so called* Christian man eagerly celebrates a FAKE, UNGODLY and BLASPHEMOUS *holiday!* And yet, got the NERVE to call someone else out!

Christmas is a diverse collection of pagan forms of worship overlaid with a veneer of Christianity. Jesus wasn’t born on December 25th, nor was he even born in the winter…yet folks still seem to turn a blind eye from the truth by dressing it up and covering themselves with mental and verbal lies!

@Miller…If this fool screacha( as brotha D says) actually understood and practiced the principles of the Nguzu Saba( seven principles to live by), he would be a much better person. You are correct with the “cultural celebration” and blacks have lost all of our native traditions, teachings and conscious. We need more of this type of Sankofa( Swahili- to reach back and retrieve what you have lost or forgotten). He would know that the Jews have the same type of celebration they stole from us with Hanukkah( the lamp, the cloth, the basket of fruits, etc). This a*****e is a uneducated fool and maybe he is the one with a calcified Pineal Gland.Lololol . DR. Maulena Karenga( who i have met on a number of occasions) would consider him asleep. He really is!!! Hotep

If we are to “celebrate our own history….
TO LEARN THE TRUTH about our HERITAGE and AFRICAN HISTORY, etc. …we must be open minded.

Some people want to limit the study of Black History to certain dates…like the Slave Trade… when the Arabs invaded Africa (600s AD) …

But the HISTORY goes back as far as — “Atlantis” — before we every knew of “White European people.” Many great “empires” existed in Africa long ago.

There was a time when “Africa” was actually a lot larger…the geography of where Blacks lived stretched over into India and Asia.

“Black people” founded many civilizations…including the Chinese….

ALKEBULAN was the original name for “Africa.” The name was changed when the Romans and Europeans invaded.

      They are both man-made!

We should practice OURstory 24/7, not just 7 days out of the year. The same with Black OURstory, which begins in the month of February! WE SHOULD OBSERVED OURstory 24/7.

Also, why do we have to ALWAYS ‘follow’ the white boy? Why does Kwanzaa fall AFTER XMESS? Why can’t we be FIRST?

HOW COME NEGROIDS LET CAUCASOID DICTATE TO THEM WHEN THEY CAN OBSERVE THEIR OURstory?

      I’m a god…Psalm 82:6

You are correct as usual, when you say Kwanzaa is man made. Kwanzaa is a 20th Century invention of Dr. Ron Maulena Karenga, founder of the US organization.

Black people do indeed practice our story 24/7, it’s the kneegrows that only observe our story in February.

Actually Kwanzaa does come before Christmas. Christmas is on the 25th of the last month of the year (December) and Kwanzaa starts on the 1st day of the first month (January) of the year.

I teach my students the principles of Kwanzaa and thats fine with me. Try loving your brother and treat people the way you want to be treated, and practice self-help.
