Yvette Carnell: Enough is Enough, It’s Time For Undecided Voters to Get Off the Fence

by Yvette Carnell

Before last night, undecided voters could make the case that both candidates had won one debate, so there was still reason enough for them to waffle on who they’d cast their vote for come November 6th. But last night, President Obama did to Romney what Romney did to Obama in the first debate. He defeated Romney handily. And he defeated him on policy points, not just style.

During the debate, an unsteady and sweaty Mitt Romney sat idly as Obama lambasted his charge that the Navy was underfunded:  ”Well, Governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets.” Obama also chided Romney for “air brushing” his previous record. How did Romney respond? By congratulating the president and agreeing with him at every turn, then tryingto reinvent himself for the umpteenth time, but President Obama was having none of it.

“Governor Romney, I’m glad that you agree that we have been successful in going after al Qaeda,” he said, “but I have to tell you that, you know, your strategy previously has been one that has been all over the map and is not designed to keep Americans safe or to build on the opportunities that exist in the Middle East.”

President Obama reminded voters that Romney has been “all over the map” on foreign affairs issues and, unlike the first debate, Obama wouldn’t allow last night’s Mitt Romney to escape all Romney’s previous reinventions. Truth is, as the president reminded voters last night, Romney has been more wrong than he has been right about, well, everything. Wrong on bailouts. Wrong on Russia. Wrong on Osama bin Laden.

So the question must now be posed to the undecideds: What are you waiting for? Romney revealed himself last night as incompetent and not ready to serve the country in any capacity, let alone commander in chief. It’s time to come off the fence and into the real world here. Romney is not a viable option to replace President Obama. We know you may be disappointed with Obama, so am I. But the Republicans picked, as their nominee, a man who is far worse than Obama on substance and integrity. They left you with no choice but to give President Obama one more shot. Time to get off the fence and do what you know you must: vote for Obama.

Yvette, I have been one of your biggest critics on YBW. Like you I have many issues with President Obama but I must vote for him because this election could set us back for years.

From the bottom of my heart..thank you for this article. Like the white racist Republican groups, NeoCons, Teabaggers, etc. who put their differences aside to get the first black president out to ensure a white man is the next PUTUS..WE MUST UNITE and DO THE SAME.

Interesting how the most racist, Rush, Hannity, OReily, Palin etc. never say anything negative about Romney in public. Throughout the campaign, that group song his praise and showed leadership in the white community and now we see the results because you now see white women supporting Romney.

Their Plan to NOT ATTACK ROMNEY IN MEDIA WORKED. BLACK PEOPLE DID the OPPOSITE, WE WERE DIVIDED and ATTACKED OBAMA.

It’s time for Black people to unite! Thank you Yvette, now if you can get that Boyce Watkins to get on board! lol

ROMNEY AND RYAN should stir people up off those couches to go vote for PRES. OBAMA. Ryan and Romney are not going to help this country — not going to create millions of jobs — not going to offer funds to college students. DON’T EAT THE YELLOW SNOW. Romney has shown us that he is a slick chameleon…who will say anything to get elected.

BAIN CAPITAL….Romney’s company had Rev. Jesse Jackson and others arrested today…

They plan to ship those jobs overseas…and the workers have been protesting. How is it that so many are cheering from this rat ROMNEY at rallies…while he gets rich …s******g over American workers…and blaming Pres. Obama for “high unemployment.”?????

Some people claim their undecided so no one knows there voting decision until afterwards or never. It is your conscience that votes. Some people like playing it close to the vest.. Undecided? No, just don’t want to be challenged by employer or friends or family..My vote is my vote!

Whats this now all of the sudden this writer is encouraging folks to vote for obama when the whole time she was lambasting him and criticizing obama at every turn its only now that they,re seeing this romney fool for what he is completely incompotent? ,i was saying this the whole time that america will be worse off if Romney got into office while everybody was moaning about obama.Obama has done some good its too bad folks keep thinking he,s going to solve everything overnight.Even though this writer all of the sudden decides to flip flop at the last minute she,s doing the right thing to encourage folks to vote for obama
