Allen West Says the Person Responsible For Libya ‘Cover-Up’ Will Be ‘Fired’ On Nov. 6th [Video]
West also said that there has “without a doubt” been a cover-up by the White House, and that the Obama administration’s foreign policy has been a “failure.”
“When you look at the fact,” he said, “five or six days afterward, you had Susan Rice going on all of these talk shows, Sunday talk shows, with the same line: ‘It’s the video; it’s spontaneous.’ First of all, why is the American ambassador talking about embassies and consulates? Because that’s not her line of expertise. And for her to talk about coordinated attacks, you know, she is not a member of the Department of Defense. It should have been a State Department person, Hillary Clinton, or it should have been Leon Panetta.”
Why is Allen West putting himself at the forefront of a conspiracy theory? It may have something to do with drawing attention away from his own congressional race, which shows him trailing his opponent by nine points:
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is trailing his Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy by nine points, according to a new Democratic poll.
The poll, conducted by Garin-Hart-Yang Research on Sept. 26-27, found that 52 percent of those surveyed support Murphy, compared to 43 percent for West, a Tea Party favorite.
When asked whether someone should be fired for this supposed cover-up, West said that the person responsible will be fired on November 6th.
Later, Fox & Friends helped West out a bit by playing one of his campaign ads. There is no way to know whether this was enough to help West edge out his opponent, but helping Republicans is what Fox News does best.
