Black Greeks Remain in an Uproar Over Gay Kappa Wedding Video: Groom Speaks Out

It appears that black weddings can be marvelous celebrations of love, but only heterosexual love.  After the wedding video surfaced of two members of Kappa Alpha Psi getting married, much of the black community was angry.  Being gay can be tolerated by some, but it’s not to be flaunted or treated as a source of pride.

There were also some who felt that the video was a slap in the face to the members of the fraternity.   The colors chosen for the wedding and the decision by one of the grooms to throw up the Kappa sign led to a strong backlash from those who were concerned that it appeared that the wedding had been endorsed by the fraternity.

But is the reaction a representation of the homophobia in the black community?  Would they have gotten this angry if a heterosexual couple had used the same colors? It’s really hard to tell.  One of the grooms appeared on the Tom Joyner Morning Show to talk about the wedding.  We doubt that this is going to make anyone feel better about the situation, but here it is:

It started as the Kappa Alpha Psi gay wedding that wasn’t really Kappa at all. But it was a gay wedding, all right. And let’s be real – the gay part is really what had everybody so up in arms.

See, the African American community has a big problem when it comes to having conversations about sexuality – especially same-sex sexuality. And when homosexuality infiltrates some of their storied institutions, like its fraternities and sororities, that’s when you have a serious uproar.

And that’s what happened after Robert Brown and Nathanael Gay posted their wedding video on YouTube last month. Because Gay is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity; because the couple chose red and white (the fraternity’s colors) for their wedding palette and because Gay and his frat brothers were photographed throwing up the Kappa identifying “yo” symbol, many folks accused the couple of dishonoring the 101-year-old fraternity, which is headquartered here in Philly.

Gay went on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show this week to set the record straight: No, he said, his wedding had no affiliation with the Greek organization. Yes, he is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi, but he was thinking the color of love, not Kappa, when he and Brown chose the color scheme. Besides, the official Kappa colors are crimson and cream, not red and white, he said.  “My husband and I were both wearing white tuxedos,” Gay told Joyner.

as some one said, “worry about other issues in the community, unemployment, hungry children, finding a job etc…” and let these two hearts be as one. they have chosen to be together for their life time, to love and care for each other in sickness and in health, they have chosen to love and support one another and you would best serve them by Praying for their continued JOY and LOVE all the days of their lives. God Will Bless Them!

Love is Love.. But whats messed up though is that most likely the ONE’S that are making an such a huge uproar outta this are proBably in the closet themselves.. Get over it because there are WAY MORE THINGS that MORE IMPORTANT than two men commiting themselves to one another!! They have my blessings and hope all goes well for them but for these other people to get so offensive theyre no better than anyone else.. How can two men taking vows upset you?.AS long as you’re sexually secured with yourself then it shouldnt be any problem what someone else do! If it does then maybe u need to check WHO you really are then.. PRIDE is within ALL of US GAY, LESBIAN, TRANSGENDERED, BI, TRI , & Even HETEROSEXUAL.. GET OVER IT!!

I saw the Video and I am, GAY BLACK MALE, who is GREEK myself (Omega Psi Phi) and I thought the wedding video was bold, classy and inspiring. I am sure many would have a negative opinion, but such opinions are relative and fall quite short of speaking sound truths that are reverent to these young men humanity. They are Gay. There are gays in every fraternity and sorority. Their orientation deserves just as much respect as heterosexuals. Antiquated prejudiced Religious concepts based upon the cultural practices of hebrews or groups represented in the bible have no place in state, legal and governmental affairs, as well as, people romantic and bedroom affairs. When people attempt to claim its a SIN or an ABOMINATION they are not relaying truth, just their prejudiced masquerading behind religion for which very few only practice when it is convient for them. GET OVER IT. Congratulations to the young men. Homosexuality is not a matter of people believing in it or agree with it. Even if you dont, then dont marry a gay person. Stay in your lane and practice your nature in peace and allow others to do the same.

Less than 40 years ago, if a Black man just had curly hair, he would’ve been labled a fag! Now, these negroid females are accepting real fags, who “look” like men, but are booty bumpers!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS WORLD COMING TO!

Everything these caucasoids accept, negroids are ‘following’ them. That’s all negroids do is FOLLOW, NEVER LEAD! And you wonder why I call some of y’all negroids…NOW YOU SEE!!! I gurantee you my life, if one of their male children married another male, they would be madder than a wet hen, and would DISOWN them!!!

    CHECK:

Homosexuals are some of the elite of caucasian societies. In the United States, those out the closet represent between 1 and 4% of the american population. 59% of them are college educated.

Over 51% of them make over $53,000 a year. Over 43% of them own property, businesses and land. They are not victims, but they are attempting to normalize their behavior.

Y’ALL NEGROIDS NEED TO STOP TRYING TO BE LIKE CAUCASOIDS…THEY STILL AIN’T GONNA ACCEPT YOU…HOMEY!

Growing up my father would tell me two things: 1) When one has their finger pointed out (in judgment), they have three pointed back at themselves. 2) People in glass houses should not throw stones (negative judgment). The homophobic posts on this page, although not shocking, are indicative of telling more about the insecure realities happening in the minds of men (and women) who post them. Being Gay/Lesbian is a sexual orientation, from birth. If one chooses to believe in God, then know Such a God clearly makes no mistakes, especially if this God is the creator of this planet and all of its species; where homosexuality exists in the animal kingdom in over 400 species (Dolphins, Chimps, monkeys -who have a 98.6 % DNA to humans) Rams, whales, monkeys and many others). If your words are that venemous to speak inaccurately about how someone falls in love or what they do in romantic relations, ask yourself why is your mind and attention on such intimate matters, when you are supposedly more “superior and umm Str8″. This is why many homophobic men, are typically CLOSET HOMO’s themselves. They engage in what is knowned as Projection by Psychotherapist/Psychologists or as Jesus said: “Who are you to point out the speck in anothers eye, when you have a log in your own.” To all the HOMO- PHOBIC brothers on this page wake up because you are just telling on yourselves. Real men are too secure with themselves to attack and put down other men whose interests and actions hurt no one and definitely dont involve you—- unless you want them too involve you. Hmmmm

Just because we don’t agree with the lifestyle doesn’t mean that we are homophobic (afraid of homosexuality). I feel that it is unnatural. The penis was not designed for the anal cavity. It is as simple as nuts and bolts.

        • Dr Luv October 19, 2012 at 10:31 pm

The definition of Homophobia is not just afraid of homosexuality. Homophobia is an irrational fear that influences negative beliefs and actions against LGBT individuals that are unfairly discriminatory and prejudiced. How do you know the individual and collective PENIS is used for? Who gave this mandate? Arent, many heterosexuals having anal sex as well? Are you calling them unatural as well? And if you are what gives you the right to do so? Also, being Gay is not about sex, its ultimately about how a person falls in love, innate psycho-emotional attractions that apparently with them from birth. This is natural, especially when one considers that humans are just one of of over 400 species within the animal kingdom where homosexuality is evident and practiced (i.e. dolphins, chimps, rams, monkeys). What is not natural is prejudice and people attempting to justify their biases with misinformed and stigma ridden ideas with irrational fears and delusional antiquated religious beliefs.

To accuse people of fear is a part of attempting to shame them. It is also a part of politically and sociologically grooming them like a predatory molester. There have been generations of teaching based on truth. The emergence of Sexual Orientation as a political force has in many previous societies been a symptom of impending collapse. Are you willing to destroy a nation to wrongly justify abberant and deviant behavior by giving it political impetus. The end is alway the same.

Maybe you need to pick up some books and research what FEAR IS… and stop trying to justify your own prejudice or biases against gay people as some illicit propoganda intent through your misunderstanding of past societies collapse. There are no societies that collapsed due to Homosexuality. SMDH. Surely you are not refering to the mythological tales of Sodom and Gomorah or Ancient Greece? Pleazzze. RESEARCH!! Know what your talking about. Homosexuality has always existed, even in African culture. And it will continue to exist, as our society and humans EVOLVE in our understanding about sexuality, culture and social justice. The only thing that needs to end is misinformation and ignorance like your that expressed in your comments.

Case in point; I know two brothas that got into blows because one of the brothas was trying to hit on the other’s lady and in the conversation, he told her that her man was one the low. Now check- the lady in question couldn’t stand her man’s friend anyhow because she always saw him out whoring, but we all surmised that he must have had his eye on her( she is FINE, but ya friends girl if off limits in my book). She quickly ask her man” hey is that guy your friend”? He said he thought they were and then she told him what he said. At first the jerk lied, then he admitted it to a relative. The shit is out of control and its affecting everybody. Hotep

It’s sad to see so many black ppl fall for white man tricks, and most people are to stupid to even know what’s going on. This is poputation contorl. Gay people have always existed in every community, especially the black community and black ancient tribes. To raise your question with the intent to infer that Gay people are a threat is clearly based on your own irrational fear- thus making it homophobic. You have no scientific or statistical information to validate your views. Also, keep in mind that Gay people are born and come from HETEROSEXUALS, who are the predominate orientation. Gay people are gay based on their orientation (birth). Its not a political orientation. The only thing that may be political is the social justice aims that are neccessary to elevate the consciousness of this society toward recognizing and respecting peoples rights to engage in loving relationships with other consenting adults. In conclusion, you are definitely deeply misinformed in relaying that syphillis, HIV and/or AIDS is a gay disease. Research… your comments are more liable to promoting distruction in our community than gays, because you just sound stupid, and only stupid people would believe that shit you post. SMDH.

Now for all of those who believe in Christianity, you can’t have it both ways!!!! The secular thought to accept homosexuality is in direct condradiction to the Bible you claim to believe in and surely an abominable sin in the eyes of Jehovah, the God of mankind. And if you are suggesting you are not able to judge, again this is an error, you do have the right to judge….by that which is given to you as law by God in the very book you claim to believe in. So my question is, is Jehovah wrong or is mankind wrong? To me, God makes no mistakes, mankind does.

Far too long, we have deviated from that which had been given to us by the prophets of of old. These young men can live this secular life thinking they are “Black Greeks” (lol) and it is a righteous thing because of a love they claim to have, but technically and realistically, the parts don’t fit nor were they made to use their imaginations due to lust and not understand the eventual consequences of their personal decisions made in this worldly life.

Lastly, to hone in on this life and then claim to believe in a paradise, will surely be decided upon by the One True God and He shall be the ultimate Judge of all things that come before Him. Then we will all get to see how we have erred according to what man has manifested due to his imagination and not by the laws of God.

Black Phoenix, if one has the right to Judge, then why does Jesus warn or admonishes others not to Judge? And if Homosexuality is an abomination, then why is it that the bible speaks of eating shell fish, wearing linen clothing, touch pig skin, and other actions as being abominations as well. These abomination that people so often quote are not the words of god but the cultural practices of Jews or Hebrews. Much of these cultural practices involved prejudice, discrimination, sexism, violence and other actions that are clearly viewed as antiquated and unacceptable in modern society. People, like you should really learn to read the bible with a more open yet critical mind that integrates the underlying historical and theological facts behind these stories. People fail to realize that the people of that time wrote in allegory, thus many of these stories, if not all, are myth (intertwined with some verifiable historical facts) to teach moral themes to its people.

You are to first obey the laws of the universe. Then you can judge by them. This is a very simple principle. Those who judge are judged by the same law. If you have the law in you and you obey it you will not be judged by it in spirit word or deed. We learn by doing so that we will know what to do. Do not let confusion rule. God is not the author of confusion. His spirit [mind and power] will be in you if you seek Him, obey Him and ask for His will and the power to fulfill it.You will be amazed at the results.

If you are judging the Book then it is clear that you do not understand it and are not willing to do so. Allegorical? It is the most plain speaking document that has ever been written. To add to the document is to bring a curse upon you and future generations from its author who has the power to do that and has done so and recorded it as an example to future generations. Unless you worship Jews as god you need to be careful. They know better than to do what you say they did with The Book.

The Bible is full of mythology and while mythology is a powerful source of influence, it still must not be used to fuel discrimination or misinformed views that attact other peoples humanity. Also, most of the biblical scholars (people who research and think critically and reconcile the information they gather to the best of their interpretation). You so-called straight men who can’t spell don’t know that many gay couples have stayed together for thirty, forty years — much longer than straight marriages. LGBT people should have the same rights as everyone else. Yeah, I know how backward some black people are about everything. They never will understand what’s going on in the wider world. First, you all should know the greek alphabet is used as a naming system to contain the usage of the fraternity/sorority names so you don’t get gang names, rap group names, etc., otherwise the groups would have all kinds of titles irrelevent to the mostly positive purpose of their existence. Other than that there’s no kin to the actual Greek ethnicity. Know your facts before spittin’ venom!!!!!!!

It’s like this…because one disagrees does not mean they hate or that they’re judging. Christians are only following as they should The Uncomprised WORD OF GOD. No one is angry…our job is to exhibit the Love of Christ. Wrong is wrong…BOTTOM LINE. But disagreeing with a particular lifestyle does not mean one person hates the other.

Do not be deceived this is a trick from the enemy of our souls to cause further division. No one is better than the next person nor can one individual change another. We all have free will. Which should not be translated as I can do whatever I want when I want and convince myself & others its ok…because its not OK!!! The Kingdom of God is not a place where you get to vote…you are to abide by the laws and commands of King Jesus who Loves us & set them up for our Good. And as a result you thrive and grow.

Hate is not of God & neither is condemnation. God convicts the enemy condemns. I wish I could do whatever felt good to me…but I can’t & when I struggle I go the Father & ask for strength. I don’t say I’m not hurting anyone. There are spiritual as well as natural consequences to disobeying God’s laws.

Lastly, I cannot use the excuse “we all mess up’ as a reason to continue ungodly patterns/behaviors. We hate what our Father Hates ….sin…NOT A PERSON. It’s God’s desire that no man should perish.

Let’s face it! Most Black folk, including Black church folk, don’t really give damn about what the Bible says! Most of us want to and will go about our lives in our own way . . . and go on to hell as well!

To seek God’s way is a choice that each of us has. To say what God says is not our judging; it’s the Word of God that judges! Now, do we walk in God’s Word, or do we want Him to walk in ours? Won’t happen! Ever!

We either believe and obey God’s Word or we don’t! And does say that those who practice or approve of such things as homosexuality will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. (Read Romans 1:18-32 for starters.)

These men went through extraordinary measures to make sure the public knew about this wedding and that at least one of them was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi. As a member of this grand fraternity. I find their desire to be in the limelight a very selfish act. As a grown man, your lifestyle is your own. But bringing the fraternity in as a major component in your publicity campaign completely dishonors the founders of this organization and many men who chose not to be a part of their agenda. Every greek organization has gay members, but promoting homosexual life styles is not and will never be part of our platform.

Furthermore, I find the attack on those who disagree with their lifestyle to be completely unfair. Granted, there have been some ugly things said about homosexuality on this post. But the overwelming idea here is that if you aren’t “down with it” you are a homophobe and a dinosaur in your thinking. Personally, I don’t know whats so progressive about two men cuddling up at night, but if that’s what they chose to do, I’m not trying to stop what happens in their bedroom, but it doesn’t make you a bigot to disagree. Those who respectfully disagree with two mens decision to marry are mocked. There is a developing lench mob forming against those who stand on biblical principles and who want to respect the social order that disagrees with same sex marriage. Attacking my opinion is the real act of bigotry. But if you don’t embrace them, then you are the evil person. They even conclude that you must be gay yourself if you disagree. They go out of their way to make whats wrong seem right and the righteous evil. They even go so far as to bless this “union” of these two men. If I ever decide to rob a bank, I want you to bless me and wish me well right before I pull out my gun.

ROD… posting one wedding ceremony on You Tube is not neccessarily an “extrordinary attempt”, when way more others post theres without this type of coverage. These men recieved this attention because, 1) They are gay black men participating in what appears to be a very classy, well organized and supported in attendance wedding 2) One or both just so happen to be a Kappa. I am Greek and have attended plenty of weddings where my Hetero- brothers highlighted their affiliation with their Fraternity at their wedding as well. So it appears you attempt to infer that “their showcasing their wedding in the “limelight” to garner attention and dishonor the founders” is inconclusive, wrong and more representative of your own personal bias and dislike.

If anything what these brothers did was COURAGE and Audacity, within a cultural community that can harbor unwarranted negative stigma toward gays and lesbians. Its love. Its their love and their relationship. It hurts and harms no one. They are educated, they have jobs, pay taxes, are loved and respected by their family and friends. They are not in jail. They are not disrespecting women, infecting women with unwanted pregancies, disease and poverty bound family with no fathers to take care of them. Kappa Alpha Psi, Black men, Black People nor the human race are a monolithic Group and never will be. Therefore, GET OVER IT. Examine and Work on yourself and your own unfair biases before attempting to further marginalized and neglect these men of any well deserved happiness with your distorted perceptions.

@ GSpeaks (you ain’t God) . I don’t know which greek organization you are part of, nor do I have a problem with that group. I respect all BGLO’s the same. But I assume you are not a member of Kappa Alpha Psi. If that’s true, I will be the only one in this conversation to speak on behalf of KAPsi considering I’m the only member of the group in question. With that said, I know that my brothers have a wide range of opinions on this matter. I respect them all. But in my own circle, I have not come across one brother who is happy to see the name of our beloved fraternity tangled in this boy boy union. And I can comfortably say based on my own research and what I know of the gentlemen who created this fraternity some 100 years ago, none of the 10 would be comfortable with the idea of two men marrying one another. Now if you have evidence to the contrary, please speak up. But (regardless of how we as a fraternity are depicted or self-inflicted) this is a christian organization that stresses God and family. The gay agenda has never been part of the platform of Kappa Alpha Psi.

I don’t understand why it bothers you that by and large the members of my fraternity don’t want to embrace the gay agenda. There are definitely gay men in the frat just like they are in yours. But its always been understood that KAPsi has no place in how you express your gay lifestyle. The two don’t mix. I have no desire to see my brothers harmed, but at least respect the fraternity enough to not associate the two.

What’s really shameful is how intolerant you are of people who chose not to hop on the gay bandwagon. I have every right to express my dissatisfaction with an issue concerning a group in which I am a member. And contrary to what you are sick enough to believe, your championing of gay marriage doesn’t make you a better person than me. It doesn’t make you right and me wrong, it doesn’t make you a “forward thinker” and me backwards. and it doesn’t make you a righteous warrior for the people. All it makes is you is soemone who can’t stand a different opinion. Not everyone agrees with same sex marriage. GET OVER IT!!!

@ Rod, Its not a matter of people who dislike Gay People being mocked, its about their homophobic rationale behind dislike reflecting that of prejudice, distorted and religiously fanactical views and misinformation– the very ancedotes that fueled the long history of racist oppression and discrimination against black people. Also, there are no biblical principles against Homosexuality. What did Jesus say against homosexuality? NOTHING!! There is only an unquestioned interpretation of a mythological story and selected passages about the hebrew cultural practices that were against homosexuality, and that does not make their moral ordinances nor Paul’s views against gay sex GOD ORDAINED; especially when the same hebrew and ancient cultures within the bible also included moral practices that clearly perpetuated slavery, Sexist oppression against women, violence against women and children and racist and prejudiced ideologies. Therefore, if anyone is disagreeing with you, they are not neccessarily attacking you but your misinformed opinion that is not accurate, but is typically arrogant and prejudiced without a sound rationale. You could technically call others bigots, since a bigot is one who is enspouses derogatory views toward others and other intolerant of any differing creed, belief and opinion against theres. However, when it comes to love (inclusivity) and fear (exclusivity-dogma), I rather be in alignment with knowing that I am inalignment with a belief that is inclusived and is not fueld by irrational fear and dogma that fails to prove resemble anything but hatred. People are far more sophisticated these days then they were decades and centuries earlier. Your ignorance is a part of a dying breed my brother thus many are clearly intolerant of such madness that ultimately discriminate and degrade others humanity.

Since when does the acceptance of same-sex marriage determine your level of sophistication? And since when does disagreement mean hate or fear. Homosexuality is an old practice. It was quite common when the cave dwellers were crawling around in the mountains and hillsides of Europe. That’s what sophistication is to you? Is your intolerance of heterosexual people also a form of hate or do you only call people who disagree with gay marriage haters?

We can be so homophobic. What we should really be concerned about is the state of the black family. Too many men are making babies and not supporting them. Our children do not have a true sense of family.

And, just how will the promotion of homosexuality and same-sex marriage uplift the black or any kind of other family? Two men or two women cannot procreate and, biologically, that is how “human beings” and “families” are created in the first place!!!

What is wrong with our people and this country, in general? We are falling for things that are the direct antithesis of the survival of the species and are a direct anathema to traditional marriage and families which are the stable forces in any community!!!

Traditional black marriage rates are already abysmal and instead of promulgating positive programs and encouragement to strengthen black heterosexual relationships and marriage, we fall in line with the liberal mainstream media, white homosexual points of view and their black surrogates to include venerable civil rights leaders like Julian Bond, Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton that will only further confuse our children, erode our culture and seriously jeopardize the survival of the black race in this country and all over the world.

Perhaps, many of you are not aware, but the United States has as an “official agenda” under this President and Secretary of State to promote the “gay agenda” under the guise of “human rights” to countries all over the world and especially to third world and less politically astute and powerful countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Many of these countries openly reject homosexuality but they are being told that they are “ignorant and intolerant” and will need to adjust their views in order to receive US support.

It seems that homosexuality is not enough “sin” to export to the world. Abortion is also being promoted and used as a “weapon of choice” to control overpopulation and many of these so-called benevolent and philanthropic global organizations are pushing abortion big time; particularly in Africa.

It is ironic how this “gay train” has been fast-tracked under this administration and many blacks have just shoved this fact under the rug in order to support this President. Would they feel the same way about the unleashing of “gay power” under a Republican administration? My (and probably a few others) inquiring mind wants to know that and whether a Republican President would have been given a “gay pass” or would he or she just be verbally castrated as “nasty” or “ungodly” or the “consummate sinner” or “racist homo” or some other horrendous description?

Yet, many of us are willing to shove our opinions and values aside on this issue as if it exists in a vacuum and will have no consequences on our culture or way of life!! Go figure! That notion is absolutely absurd and flies in the face of the already omnipresent deleterious effects of the homosexual and bisexual lifestyle on our culture right now.

Yet, all we talk about is a cure for HIV/AIDS as if that is the root of our problem; when the root of the problem is “lifestyle choice” in the form of hedonism and irresponsible behavior that affects us all!! And, civil unions or gay marriage won’t change that.

But, it will exacerbate the problem because the culture will have given its stamp of approval as acceptance of this abominable lifestyle and create a culture of “sexually fluidity” where it will [apparently] be acceptable to have same sex liaisons with men and women and be able to marry either sex at any time.

If that is the case, what will be the ramifications of this sexual plurality on our children and future generations? Will HIV/AIDS look like the “common cold” if, one day, it morphs into a “Franken Monster Disease” with no medications able to treat this new plague and with no cure in sight?

It is absolutely incredulous to me that we are willing to further erode our values, lower the moral bar in a country that is already sexed out, drugged out, divorced out, abortion-crazy and reality show brain dead!!!

Why keep pretending? Isn’t the goal to “excuse” or “accept” anything that gives us pleasure and allows us to do anything we want to despite the consequences?

After all, as noted by quite a few folks on this topic, there are other “sins” and since there are, I guess the logic is that we should just “give the heck up” and accept all the rest!!! Now, that makes a lot of sense, EXCEPT, some SINS create more chaos for the culture and are simply not equal.

For example, someone telling a little “white lie” to spare someone’s feelings is hardly the same on the “Sin Scale” as someone’s husband being caught bent over a chair and being anally penetrated by another man ESPECIALLY WHEN THE WIFE THOUGHT THAT: (a) SHE WAS IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH A HETEROSEXUAL MAN, AND (b) SHE WAS IN A MONOGAMOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ONLY MAN SHE HAS EVER BEEN INTIMATE WITH!!! And, believe it or not, THAT IS A BIG DEAL, for most women!!!!

We should expect more and demand more of ourselves and our leaders. That is why President Obama is wrong for this country on so many fronts. But, even “intelligent sheep” who really know better have often followed their leaders to slaughter. And, we’d be wise to heed this admonition.

ok, if they want to go ahead and do this then fine, good 4 for them ig. What about all of those young men like me who look up to the morals a black greek frat like Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has to offer. It definitely put a holt on my decision to even pledge. Knowing that the fraternity may have its stereotypes (like all D9), this effects more than just those 2 IN LOVE DUDEs out of 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,+ multiplying people in the world. Yes, these men made history, bad history on the frat in my eyes. And yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it is not to come off as negative. This confused the SH*t out of me and a lot of other of my friends. Though the whole Greek era might have been homophobic…THIS IS THE 21st CENTURY. So now kids are going to wonder (because all got damn kids are curious even adults) and say “I want to be GAY when I grow up” -___- r u FUCKING SERIOUS!? And you want people to say “Aww how lovely =)” >:( Yeah FUCKING right. Who would want to even go the Kappa route now after this crap. Okay their in love, Fucking yippee-Kiyae! Now, what about the future of kids, (probably used to be) potential frat members, etc. Their choice to publicize this abomination is fucking over probably the whole frat, d9, and youth. What now? Somebody PLZ tell me…
