Pat Buchanan Says that Obama is a Drug Dealer of Welfare

The man who was fired from MSNBC for racially-insensitive remarks has continued to be a beacon of light for those who think that subtle racism is going to continue to work as a viable political strategy.  This week, Pat Buchanan made an appearance on Fox News and said that President Obama is nothing more than a common drug dealer.

“Barack Obama is a drug dealer of welfare,” he said, speaking on “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.” “He wants permanent dependency, in my judgment, of all these folks…somehow getting benefits, benefits, benefits and paying no taxes.”

Buchanan is one of a very small number of Republicans who are seeking to support Mitt Romney during his most recent mishap.  Just a few days ago, Romney was recorded at a private fundraiser saying that 47 percent of all Americans don’t pay income tax and are dependent upon the government.
“We used to have FDR talking about relief being a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit,” Buchanan said. “We got to get off this welfare, is what he said. And in that sense it’s a narcotic.

“Gov. Romney is the complete opposite,” Buchanan added. “We believe in temporary help for anybody that’s in trouble. You should have a floor of decency under every family. Unemployment should be temporary. Unemployment benefits should be temporary. Food stamps should be temporary. What are we doing with 47 million people permanently have to be fed by the government?”

Derrick, send me the info on the 1st black President again, I want to pass it along to some friends. Thanks

      New topic;
I have to admit, I know of some people who have no business receiving food stamps, they are gaming the system and believe it’s OK to do so. But will talk about the you girl and not so young girls who has another child in order to get a greater amt, of money from the government.

I’m not a Buchanan fan I do feel his wording while not the way I would have said it, is fundamentally correct.

One must remember the Government does not have any money, all that they spend comes from the 54% who pay tax. I know the 46% pay sales tax etc however if it comes from the government from the start it does not do much good, left pock to right pocket.

OMG…Normally, I don’t get into the cracker mess with’ y’all. However, OneSilverBack, get the facts straight. I’m definitely sure a $52 increase in gov’ment benefits won’t support anyone or anything in this 8year recession that my good President Bush continued. In the not so near future of the next administration that Romney might head (not the next 4 years), but 2016, still doubt it because Mrs. Clinton has it in the bag already. As I was saying before my “non-gov’ment cell phone rang” –lol, with Romney in office more than the 47 percent going to have more babies with their children going behind their parents’ back getting their not-so-free birth control. Let’s not get started about the condoms the supposedly only the “cracker Kids” are using. Oops, they won’t be getting them free anymore and they just might have to break that non-purity thought of their parents.
OneSilverBack, I don’t know you personally, but to read your ignorance – it is enough for one day.

THEY ARE RIGHT ABOUT PEOPLE GETTING OFF WELFARE AND UNEMPLOYMENT! I’M SURE THE PEOPLE (BLACK, WHITE, PUERTO-RICAN, CHINESE, OTHER) DON’T WANT TO BE UNEMPLOYED BUT, THE PEOPLE THAT ARE TALKING THE LOUDEST ABOUT PERSONS BEING ON WELFARE, AND GETTING UNEMPLOYMENT AND NOT PAYING TAXES…ARE SO OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE MAINSTREAM FOLKS OF OUR SOCIETY! MOST HAVE HAD MONEY ALL THEIR RICH, PRIVLEDGED LIVES AND OF COURSE THINK THAT EVERYONE ELSE IS LAZY AND HAS A FREE-LOADING ATTITUDE….BTW, MOST OF THESE PEOPLE DON’T PAY TAXES THEMSELVES! I WISH ONE DAY..NO WEEK…THE TABLES WERE TURNED…THEY WOULD BE JUMPING OUT OF WINDOWS..THE POOR, EMPTY, SOULS!

For Century People Of Color Has Been Struggling All There Life And Work Hard just to Have The Basics. They Have Contribute To Those Who Was Born into Riches. We Were Paying Taxes Scents Wages Were Offer To Us. There was a Time Our Tax Money Took Care Of There Community, Schools,Parks, etc. The Poor Has All Ways Been Just Happy To Pay Rent And Put Food On The Table. They Tend to forget How They have Oppress People For A very Long Time. And there A Very Few Who Get, Welfare. Get A Black Male in A House That Was Design By A Black Man. He A Welfare King. what are people problem. we think that this economy will turn around just like that. people dont understand economics, business, stocks, etc. and forget this bullshit about made in america. we have not made anything in america for at least 40 years. having served since the 70′s anyone serving overseas saw american cars in japan, germany etc. we mad toyota what it is today. but lets be honest if we are stupid enough to buy then this is what we get. why i ask that the same part on a toyota costs more than on a gm or ford etc. when the parts do the same. if it breaks on a toyota then whats the diff. and by the way its ok for american ceo’s to earn millions lose money then get bonus, yet overseas ceo’ who make mistakes or cause investors to lose money get fired. we allow this then b***h but do we really care. as long as you and i have money in our pockets and can buy what ever we want no one cares if jobs went overseas etc. they have been going there for the past 40 of my 53 years on earth. so lets all stop being hypocrites. the banks have raised the credit requirements after their substandard management, yet there are people who have retirement income with no credit, not bad credit who cant buy a house. thats 100′s of thousands of people who could be buying homes. so do people really think jobs will be the same no way. unless we bring manufacturing back. and the chinese, mexicans, koreans, etc. are going to want to be paid more so why not just make it here. that wont work because we want it cheaper. there is no loyalty among americans. we produced tv’s that not only left america but changed their names. zenith to lg. that tells you that we completely sold out. if white america is racist then be racist all the way dont take your company to overseas then change the name cashing out. the japanese would never do that. all im saying is that if jobs were the same people really wouldnt care less where stuff is made. lets be real

“He wants permanent dependency, in my judgment, of all these folks…somehow getting benefits, benefits, benefits and paying no taxes.”

Clearly, many of the people who approve these laws have never had a “wish sandwich”, 4th hand clothing, or even seen a public assistance budget letter.

You really want families to pay taxes off $500 a month. People making that amount at “crush your will, kill your spirit” jobs don’t even get taxed but state!

Who’s REALLY getting benefits, benefits, benefits?
The same dark beings that don’t want prosperity distribution. The claim, “WE want to continue BUILDING wealth in America.”

I asked presidental candidate Romney via Twitter,
Who’s US exactly…if one does not OWN a business, does not the WORKER create this WEALTH…btw..are you broke?

I have yet to receive an answer. I’m inclined to believe I’m watching a staged play for all the world to see. #GetInTheKNOW

This welfare issue is easily solvable. Remove all red lines so that all people have access to seed funds to start their own businesses. Next remove all of the bias regulations inhibiting those who are not well connected from participating in this so called capitalistic system. Lastly all companies who employee more than 100 people take part in an efficiency analysis that determines full employment. Either hire enough people instead of working the he’ll out of your people just to make a bigger profit. Now you have sustained full employment, no more welfare.

There was a bigger insult to African Americans by Buchanan. About two years ago while on MSNBC/Maddow Show, Buchanan stated that blacks were less deserving of citizenship, due to the fact that they did not land in Normandy on D-Day in WW2.
What he left out was that due to the large amount of injuries encurred during the landing. The African American paramedics who were assigned to England, were pulled from black army units in England to aid the injured in Normandy on the second day of the landing. Plus the black units assigned to England were withheld from the invasion force.
During that same month (6/44) my late Father’s unit, was the victim of an IED in Italy. All members of my Father’s squad were killed except for him. He suffered from PSTD for years. Where those black soldiers who were killed less deserving of citizenship?

My Uncle who served in Word War II and all of his male siblings, his uncles served in World War I said, when they came on the beaches, the Cameramen filmed the white men and when they got to the black men they skipped over them to go to the next group of white men to film.
Black men have fought in every war that this country has had, from the Revolutionary War on up. In peace time they are fighting racism.

You know racism would not hurt black people’s psyche so badly, if they only told the truth. Whites do these dirty rotten racist things and then don’t want us to call it for what it is–racism.

This welfare argument is foolish. They act like welfare just started and President Obama created it. Welfare has been around for many years and it’s not going anywhere as long as there are poor people that are not being hired and our schools are substandard. Lets get something straight the president doesn’t create jobs, this is a lie. Small and mid-sized businesses create jobs. The problem we are having now is that no is is going to hire anyone as long as President Obama is in office. These people Have openly said that and no one is paying attention to it. Unless the bigger picture is addressed we will not have jobs and welfare wiil be there for the poor and helpless. Wake up everbody and read between the words, they are telling us how they really feel about us. Remember they have always told America that balck people make up the majority on welfare, so when they say that 47% of Americans are on welfare who do you think they are talking?

On your subject Satchell, these are the figures reported in The Atlanta Journal Constitution on Sept. 16, 2012 on Atlanta’s Cash Reserves at Georgia’s Largest Firms: Home Depot 2.8 Billion; UPS 7.3 billion; Coca-Cola 17.0 billion; Delta Air LInes 3.5 Billion, Aflac 2.1 billion; Southern Co. 659. million; Sun Trust Banks 5.8 billions, -not the full list.
Corporations are in the business of taking calculated risk, but they are not reacting to uncertainty is used as an excuse. It’s doubtful because they have been sitting on that money quite a while.
Putting a portion of that cash to work would boost the economy. Corporate cash reserves are at a historic high, investing as little as 10 percent of those reserves would push up total capital spending b 20 percent. That could boost the nation’s percentage points and add 2.5 million jobs.
BUT, companies aren’t doing that. You got it, that would put people back to work and those mostly –my opinion–Republican companies do not want that to happen.

Sigmasoul….People my age know the race barriers in operation during WW2… as well as the bravery of those like the Tuskeegee Airmen & your late father who put their lives on the line to break
them down… If Buchanan said this as stated above, then he is part of the problem & not the solution…

That being said, the countries who have crashed in the past 50 years or in dire straits in the present, are those who believed in the the primacy of the Central Govt. versus free enterprise & the messy & not always fair forces of the market place… The best example is China, one of our chief
economic competitors, which was a basket case when under strict Communist Central Control but now is growing in power & influence as it moves from a Centralized to a market economy… Think it is not racist to say that Obama prefers Govt. Solutions & the redistribution of wealth in his vision of the way the US should operate with regards Social Justice…And so,
as the numbers of people dependent of the Govt. continues to grow at an even faster rate under Obama, this is an issue which deserves a serious debate … For at some point in time when those in the wagon are more numerous than those pulling the wagon, the wagon stops moving & we all suffer……

Sad as it may sound, in many aspects they are exactly correct. We now have grown men on welfare and getting food stamps. People dependent on the little bitty checks like a crackhead on crack, and more and more are getting sucked in every day, if not welfare then disability for things they can work through.
I understand jobs are short but there are many opportunities out there that are paying big dividends but we have raised a society of people that have become addicted to handouts, legal drugs and laziness. This all at the expense of those who do get up every morning and go to work or who work their opportunities.
It is also sad to say the same government that perpetuated this plight is the same government that is dealing with it…HOW? GENOCIDE. No need to worry about the tremendous numbers getting aid because soon they will all be dead. The FOOD CHAIN is legally killing people…how many new drug stores and dialysis buildings in your community?
Wake Up People…No President can save us or the economy… People are going to have to take control of their lives, first their health, then their finances, and both can be done via one vehicle…a gift from God…THE TREE OF LIFE, MORINGA.
God did say,”My people perish for lack of knowledge.”

We need to understand the disfranchisement that blacks have endured in their sojourn in America.Oh, we have some self inflicted wounds, but there are reasons for them.

Girl you hit a Home Run!!!

Gandhi quoted, “The enemy is fear. We think it is hate; but, it’s fear.” And Crackers like Buchanan and his clonnies (Boehner, McConnell, McCain, Cantor, Romney and Ryan) feel their “Perceived” power and control (money and their privileged “Whiteness”) slipping through their fingers. After all these years/decades they still haven’t grasped the reality that “GOD IS IN CONTROL AND ALL POWER BELONGS TO HIM!!!!!”

The rhetoric like Buchanan used above about President, Barack Obama (like finger nails on a chalk board to them – LOL), and the pressed hoods that they have hung in their closets at home no longer work. They fear Confidence, Intellect and Self Control, especially from a person of color because when you display those characteristics, they have no idea what you’re thinking. But don’t be fooled, because the new Klan like Eric Cantor and Paul Ryan are educated and walk around in Brioni and Armani suits; they know the President is a Force to be reckoned with and I’m sure they study him on a daily basis.

See racist like Buchanan and Mitch McConnell long for what they lived as the “good ole days” where people of color walked around with their heads down and shuffled their feet. News flash Crackers – IT’S A NEW DAY! I suggest these little boys (Boehner, McConnell, McCain, Cantor, Romney and Ryan) face their fears. We have a Black Commander-In-Chief, Barack Obama and he’s going to stay the Commander-In-Chief, at least for the next four years!!!!! (LMAO)

Well, the consensus is that Black and Latino make up the numbers when it comes to the Welfare. No one has bothered to collect the numbers because since Newt gave the old “Blacks need to get off Welfare” speech it’s just been a hit. Why bother? When Clinton reformed Welfare the system-after finding out that White Women made up the majority which of course they would because of the population-decided to train them to enter into gainful, long term employment. Blacks were railroaded to fastfood restaurants and other low-paying Welfare to work organizations to meet the quota. The whole “Welfare” talk is rhetoric. Everyone needs help some time and thats what its for. The problem is that these people try to make everyone believe that Black America is putting a dent in society by collecting it-No way. Immigrants, exchange students collect food stamps and medical cards even while working without having to contribute anything to the system. They also are exempt from producing the creditials Americans need to collect. Now, with Obama’s law that says that immigrant parent’s of children can no longer be deported there will be a new surge of people collecting. Some states even allow the discretion of the Social worker to decide what will be distributed to individuals-check your Red States. It’s nonsense. We all know that Welfare was created for White women who had working husbands that would get hurt or laid off during seasons from Mills. It extended itself as people realized that it was a violation of law to be refused. Black America would not be entitled for Centuries-remember we weren’t even considered humans during those times.

Would you take some brother off the streets who couldn’t even finish high school and make that person a airline pilot, a bank branch manager, a teacher?

The knowledge is out their, free! The will to get it, is up to the individual, If you or I had x number of dollars to give to people who really needed it, a whole lot of the people on welfare would not get it.

you have a job don’t you, as do most of us, when I drive through the community, I see only a few people I’m willing to help! We all know there’s some sorry people who look like me who are in the spot they are in because of poor decisions.

    MZ,

Way to put the truth out there, Black people do not make up the largest amount of US citizens who are receiving benefits. It’s actually, white americans, hispanics, that are receiving the most benefits in this country currently. Department health and human services. People stop listening to that bullshit!!!!

Yeah, keep talking, Pat. The usual racism- black man, therefore he must be a drug dealer. You won’t see this ignorant- and recently fired man going to welfare neighbourhoods, and offering to help them reduce their dependency. Of course you don’t want high dependency on welfare because that is not good for anyone, not least the recipient- but that is an unfortunate choice that they have to make because there is NO work. Mr Buchanan has never come to Compton, offering business incentives to the residents- so why is he slamming welfare? If you don’t like it, DO something about it, don’t just preach nonsense!

    Good Morning

First, giving honor and Glory to God all of God’s children even Mr. Buchanan, we are thanking God for you not being in the pupit peaching, all this hate and claiming to be a man called to spead the word of GOD. Mr. Buchanan, please be advised that 47% that Mr. Romney claims are depending on the government for assistance is so incorrect, see I am in that 47% voting for the President and believe it are not I work everyday as a Paralegal with very established law firm in Texas, so please do not take me as a whimp, because on a good I could whip you with one arm tried behind my back. You and Mr. Romney do not understand is that some of those people that you placing the 47% are just like me hard working people. The way the recession has been going some people had to seek assistance to make it until the obtain they seek a new employment position and its their right to seek assistance from the govenment, because they have been paying taxes and they just wanted to withdraw from their govnment savings account program. Please before you open your mouth again seek the Word of God how to proceed, because life and death is in the power of the tongue. Some, may agree with me and some may not, but that’s okay, because I still love you the way God want to live another according to his word. Everyone have a blessed day and weekend. Terry (GGran)

IMHOTEP….. The issue is still the same & cannot be wished or explained away… Whether the wagon is filled with bankers, auto companies, Unions, Special Interests, Retirees, the Sick & Unemployed, whites, blacks, Asians, Hispanics…when there are more sitting in the wagon than pulling it…it grinds to a halt & WE ALL SUFFER….. The ever increasing noise, I hear outside my window, is a grinding sound…..One Monday the world will come to the conclusion that we cannot manage our economy & our debt is not a good investment anymore & by Friday, our lives will change forever…

Sometimes I think no one see’s how the world is about to change, in a dramatic way.

For those who are not prepared, those who wait for the government to help are going to be in a sorry state.

It will soon be the survival of the most prepared not the wealthy or strongest.

Yes firghtened people anticipate big negative changes coming no matter who wins the erection & that is why their loading up on guns & ammunition. Scary! Seems the only ‘change’ we can anticipate is pocket change. Hope is free but the changes aren’t. I think it’s almost inevetible that some group will be unhappy no matter how demographics evolve in the USA.
After all the discussion on this site I would like to ask one question, which polictical party regardless of their fiscal persuasion has ever undone any social program once already in place? Which program? Interesting that in spite of all the posturing & yelling & screaming in the entire history of this country once a social program is in place it is almost impossible to be totally done away with. All these discussions are useless except to vent & as a psychological deterrant to violence. Also, the democrats voted for everything Bush wanted in the first place & almost without exception and yet he is blamed for everything they could have turned down.
The democrats controled both house of the legislature during the first two years of the Obama administration so why did they not undo all the stuff they believed he did wrong? I know, it’s a little more complicated than that but really doesn’t anybody want to step up and admit there is plenty of blame to go around.
