Obama Bear Hugger Facing Boycott

In America now, there seems to be only one trusim: Everybody hates everybody else. This seems to be the only take away from some people’s reaction to boycott the pizza shop owner who bear hugged President Obama and picked him up off the ground yesterday.

The owner of the pizzeria, Scott Van Duzer, is a republican, but he voted for President Obama in 2008, and says he will vote for Obama in November.

When President Obama visited Big Apple Pizza and Pasta, he greeted Van Duzer with,  “Scott, what’s going on, man….Let me tell you, you are like the biggest pizza shop owner I’ve ever seen.”

“Everybody, look at these guns,” Obama said. “If I eat your pizza will I look like that?”

That’s when Scott gave the president a hug and lifted him up off the ground.

“Look at that!” Obama said while in the air. “Man, are you a powerlifter or what?”

Now, some people are threatening to boycott Van Duzer’s restaurant.

“People are saying a lot of bad things and boycotting my restaurant,” Scott Van Duzer said in an interview with POLITICO. “There’s no middle line anymore, and that’s exactly what’s wrong with our country right now.”

What’s interesting is that people seem to be upset at Van Duzer for different reasons. Republicans are upset that he is supporting Obama, and some Democrats are upset at Van Duzer for picking Obama up off the ground.

The people who are threatening to boycott Van Duzer aren’t taking into consideration that he’s a community leader who biked all the way to Washington D.C. to help raise awareness for blood donation shortages. To Americans, it’s only about politics, and maybe that’s the worst testament of all to the level of  political polarization in this country.

I like what the Van Duzer said about what is wrong with this country. So now you’re boycotted just because you were excited that the President walked into your establishment? Something is very wrong with this! SMH

They’re boycotting his place because he’s supporting the President and he African American. Because what Van Duzer did was not that serious to boycott his place.

This guy is an American voter who has an opinion and I think people should respect him for it. People from all over the political spectrum should show their support for reform of the political process by going to this pizzeria. I plan on working it into my next trip to the area. Blindly partisan voters are destroying the country. People need to open up their minds and read some books.

What the author of this article did not tell you is that after the business owner received negative reviews via restauraunt sites “because of his vote for the president,” thousands more went to those same sites and gave him positive reviews to help him out. Point is, people are being exposed and so is the subtle racism.

Also, the owner of the pizzeria is said to have stated that he votes for the person who he feels comfortable with and that he feels very comfortable with President Obama.

This guy stands for a good cause and certainly has a reason to be excited. I think he took a risk though, in grabbing the Pres. that way, because the secret service always has to be on watch for foul play.

You must be invited onto someones personal space. Basic respect. Have Joe Bidenl go by and see if he lifts him up. Joe will have him arrested. Wait til after election though. Must be non staged also. He is not a child. Only children cannot contain excitement. Its called discipline. However his lack of respect is conferred through education. Same as white woman who lifted Michelle. Electing a black potus cannot cure centuries of racist ideology. That’s like building a house on no foundation. They will have Obama dancing a jigg before too long.

Wow. This Guy was set up. I think.he is the victim now of political tactics. Still wrong however. He is being used to gain Republican votes. If Republicans destroy him it would not be his fault. Pray for a better democracy.

Folks have their “priorities” backwards. But, who am I to say, because I intend on boycotting Papa Johns Pizza because of his “political views.” He says President Obama is “anti-business” and a “socialist.” Pretty soon, we’ll all be on welfare because we’re lazy and want a Free Ride. He has fund raisers for the wealthy, raising millions of dollars for the GOP at his mansion in Florida He says Government didn’t help him become a “millionaire.” He did it all on his own. State Attorney Generals should audit Papa Johns to see if they’re paying the sales tax collected to the states.
