In Divide and Conquer News, Ann Coulter Says Democrats Have Traded Blacks For the Hispanics

Ann Coulter went on This Week to hawk her new book, “Mugged: Racial Demagoguery From the Seventies to Obama,” and, among other things, tried to 
drive a wedge between minorities who vote Democratic.
Coulter made the divisive claim that “Democrats are dropping the blacks and moving on to the Hispanics,” while arguing that the only civil rights are those that derive from the Civil Rights movement in this country.
Coulter went on to claim that African-Americans are treated badly by the Democratic Party.
“I think what — the way liberals have treated blacks like children and many of their policies have been harmful to blacks, at least they got the beneficiary group right,” Coulter said. “There is the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow laws. We don’t owe the homeless. We don’t owe feminists. We don’t owe women who are desirous of having abortions, but that’s — or — or gays who want to get married to one another. That’s what civil rights has become for much of the left.”
When asked whether immigrant rights were not civil rights, Coulter responded, “No. I think civil rights are for blacks… What have we done to the immigrants? We owe black people something. We have a legacy of slavery. Immigrants haven’t even been in this country.”
But Coulter is being condescending toward blacks in assuming that blacks don’t understand that the Democratic Party is flawed. If Coulter thinks that the Democratic Party treats blacks like little children, then it must also follow that she believes that blacks are OK with being treated like children, since we remain a core constituency of the Democratic Party. That assessment, made by Coulter, is the height of condescension. It’s akin to Allen West’s assertion that he’s a modern day Harriet Tubman, here to rescue black liberals from the Democratic plantation.
Truth is, most black Democrats see the Democratic Party as flawed, but just don’t see the Republican Party as much of an alternative. Black Democrats aren’t children, but voters who’ve been forced to choose, as most voters have, between the lesser of two evils.
Funny how when white people vote in blocks, it’s fine. They’re cast as principled voters who recognize the strength in numbers. But when blacks behave similarly, we’re children. There’s a word for using two different standards to make assessments of people – racism.
Coulter also thinks we’re too stupid to catch what she’s up to, which is to drive down black enthusiasm for Obama in the weeks leading up to the election. Lucky for us, and Obama, we’re not as stupid as Coulter thinks we are.

Why are you mad at Ann Coulter….she is telling the truth. She just forgot to add the Republican party as well….that’s all. Don’t be mad because she spoke the truth.
