Dr. Boyce: Don’t Throw Away Your Vote By Allowing Someone Else to Control It

*Roland Martin recently wrote about the Associated Press and its proclamation that there are several prominent black pastors telling their congregations not to vote. According to Martin, the story was an overblown and misguided assertion that ultimately misled the public into believing that the men and women running black churches across America are hungry to violate their 501c(3) status.
Martin was right to point out that the media seems to have a hunger for sensationalizing the black church into a backward bastion of perpetual ignorance, where people hold onto ideals that appear to be from another planet. Since several pastors spoke up against President Obama’s support for gay marriage, many of our fellow Democrats on MSNBC spent countless hours depicting members of the black church as primitive fools incapable of forming their own opinions. They even hired a few black people to do their dirty work, with none of them providing a perspective that was in any way sympathetic to why a spiritual leader might choose NOT to ignore the teachings of the bible.
I personally have no issue with gay marriage, but as the son of a pastor, I found myself insulted by the way liberals tend to abandon black folks when we are not in lockstep with their agenda. The liberal telephone connection with the black community only goes one way, where we are expected to hear what the liberal establishment thinks, but they don’t spend much time listening to us. Black people are expected to hand their political power over to the Democrats without saying a word, like an uneducated NFL player signing his paychecks over to an agent who uses the money to buy himself a Mercedes Benz.

But there were black pastors telling folks not to vote. You are upset about gay marriage and so you are willing to set your people back even more? Is that condoned in the bible? Yeah, MSNBC should have made them look like fools because that is what they were being. Don’t cry about it now.
But MSNBC weren’t just making them look like fools. They did the very popular thing which is paint all Black Christians as a certain type of person, not just the one or two pastors who maybe should’ve been the topic of the conversation. No one I know is currently attending a church where the pastor has asked of them to refrain from voting. Which suggests to me that this story is OVERBLOWN and that old mentality of when even one of us does something negative that person becomes the rule and not the exception.
No they didn’t. That is overstated. The stories and segments raised valid questions. There were pastors championing not voting. And they were getting out ahead of the story. They didn’t make it say as if every black church did that. They questioned how prevalent such action was in the community which is a completely valid question to an “outsider”. Now because the question is posed you as a black person want to be outraged because that is what we do. And Boyce isn’t helping the situation. Write a story on those idiots that demanded his congregation do such a thing and then move on.
It is unconscionable how people actually see things as if they are rightful, regular, fair, honest, and true in this nation! Even while all evidence and all ongoing examples of the ‘elite’s’ abuses against the populace are so blatant!
We African Americans suffered in the past as we suffer now! Our votes have been ‘stolen’ in every possible manner! As soon as we were given the illusions of voting rights and that our votes counted, the whites in power created other ingenious ways to circumvent our voting and our efforts!
We live in this country and we witness the daily atrocious abuses we are subjected to, yet many of us still think our voting processes are functional and mean something or does something to slow down these overly abusive and ‘conniving’ tyrants who have been abusing us for centuries!
What kind of fantasy world have you allowed yourselves to assimilate to? What kind of mind must one have to see all of these falsities overtaking our lives and still believe that a vote is counted or that the “white man’s” democratic processes are still working?
Okay, go ahead and vote but understand that decades from now “blacks” and indeed most ‘people of color’ will be worse off than ever! We are being scammed in every way imaginable by the most ‘sociopathic families’ history has (never) recognized, but even our educated intellects seem to be oblivious to this!
If the masses of African Americans and others cannot recognize that we are being conned and duped on a massive scale, and continue to carry on as if this social-structure is functioning as a true “voting” democracy and as if everything is basically as it should be, we will never climb out of this “god-forsaken” ‘brainwashed’ sinkhole!
Boyce, let it rest…no one is listening to you. President Obama is up in the polls, there is nothing you, Tavis and West can do to stop him from winning.
Do you really believe you have the power of influence to manipulate Black people into not voting? Look around Boyce, the most hated, disrespected, mistreated, first Black president in the US, worst economy since the depression, IS STILL WINNING AGAINST ALL ODDS. If the white racist who have power cannot stop him from winning, what makes you think you can?
Like most, I’m shocked that the most hated man by the racist teabaggers leads in the polls. I guess my grandmother was right when she would say, God is still in control.

Every black person should stop watching the shows that Boyce, and West appear on, and call those stations to ask that they no longer give them a platform, because they don’t speak for black people. Those of you that still watch the Tavis Smiley show, should contact PBS (Public Broadcast Station) and ask them to remove his show, because he is not a black leader, and he is detrimental to our community. As for those other two idiots (WizardG, and Derrick “The Caucasoid”, we should simply ignore their deranged rants, and not reply to them, which I have learned not to do. These rats, are looking for some cheese, and we should give them poison.
Dont have to worry about seeing Boyce’s ESPN Michalel Wilburn looking a*s Boyce on TV anymore. He created too many enemies, now banned from all the major networks, Fox, MSNBC, and now CNN seems to have backoff. He attacked Bill Meyer, so don’t look to ever see him on that show, although he would have been a perfect guest for that platform.
But the Negro just don’t know how to communicate effectively with people. No one wants to deal with his anger, jealousy and hate. I guess he never heard you can win more flies with honey than vinegar.
Not sure if anything can be done about Tavis. Not sure, but I think PBS is a public network and his show isn’t dependent on Black viewers to watch for ratings. I doubt if a lot of black people watch his show because it’s extremely boring.
