Obama Mentions Michelle’s Birthday: Puerto Rican Adviser Says “Who Cares? Take Her to Burger King”

Twitter is a great place to hang out if you want to say something silly and end up losing your job. A Puerto Rican political adviser is under fire after sending out a tweet that some are calling racist.

Heidi Wys, an adviser to Puerto Rico’s most powerful female lawmaker, sent a tweet to President Barack Obama urging him to buy the first lady a double-banana sundae and take her to Kenya. The tweet was in response to a tweet from the president mentioning that his wife’s birthday was coming up.

“Who cares?” Wys wrote. “Take her to Burger King, buy her a sundae with double banana, take her to your homeland, Kenya!”

Other lawmakers didn’t take well to the tweet and are out looking for blood.  Several legislators are demanding that Wys step down or that House of Representatives President, Jenniffer Gonzalez ask for her resignation.

“The expressions disseminated are not acceptable, do not represent my sentiments and are the exclusive responsibility of those who wrote them,” Gonzalez said in response.

“It is a racist comment from a person who must have great hatred within,” Sen. Juan Eugenio Hernandez said. “This is placing the name of Puerto Ricans across the world in a very precarious situation.”

Wys has also posted additional anti-Obama tweets including one urging a Puerto Rican newspaper to investigate President Obama’s birth certificate.

Wow, ok just let your feeling be really known, freedom of speech is what they call it. Even though I don’t personally like it and think that it is way rude, I am Truly glad that she decided to let people know how she really feels, I’m glad she is not hiding it from the world and we don’t have to wonder where she stands.

I would say that this crappy spin on a racist bent is another orchestrated attempt by white-house spin doctors to create a rift among people (especially blacks and browns) who are skeptical about re-electing Mr. Obama. It will probably work on people who are easily influenced by strategically placed cons, lies, and propaganda. It really doesn’t take a lot to get some of us angry over stuff that may or may not be true, and things that inadvertently serve a purpose we aren’t actually privy to. Anyone in their right mind wouldn’t tweet such ridiculousness without a specific purpose. She was more than likely prompted (by Obama’s people) to send that out to spike the audience into anger and a few more votes for Obama’s certain 2nd term. She will more than likely be sanctioned in the public and quietly praised and advanced.

Another day and another racist comment by a person working within government. Can’t remember this type of daily stream of racism seething into our political discourse in recent years towards the President Of The United States by advisors or other government officials. However, the heinous b***h could use her own advice and take a trip to Burger King and have a double banana sundae. The b***h looks like she never misses a meal and since she talks about Kenya so much she could take a trip there after she’s done ordering the whole menu at Burger King. Last, people need to get their facts straight. It is the President’s birthday that is coming up soon and not Michelle Obama. Sighs, lazy a*s journalism.

If this racist B*&$# is an advisor to a lawmaker she is probably paid with tax dollars. If so, her employer needs to find another use for public funds, and the tweeter needs a new source of income. Racism must be addressed immediately and with maximum force.

We can have no tolerance for dacial bigotry in government officials. This bigot should be fired. If she can express such an ignorant sentiment about the ethnicity of the POTUS, how can she equitably serve any African-American within her jurisdiction and/or constituency? And what does this suggest about the racial views of her boss?

Now what if it were your birthday and President Obama sent you a case of Corona, a bowl of arroz con pollo, and a Tito Puente CD?

Even though she has freedom of speech, that was still unnecessary.

When will people learn to speak with integrity? When will they develop compassion? When will they learn to keep their thoughts in their heads? When will they learn to be happy so their hatred doesn’t poison the country? When will they learn to think before they speak, email, or tweet something ignorant?

Wys is racist and ignorant. She will probably just get a slap on the wrist, because President Obama and his family have been attacked by bias ignorant people since he was elected. The black in him has some peoples blood boiling. Wys is also jealous because Michelle is a strong, intelligent, educated mild mannered black women, who doesn’t fit their stereotype of African American women. Wys is a HATER, I hope she loses her job.

At least she’s honest—— There are to many who aren’t’ as honest– and have rode the backs of the civil rights movement-and all other human rights which our foreparents fought for-and now that their population has grown they concede to be used by those who cared not to except them in their neighborhoods nor work place.

So as we do- get angry-call for blood speak foul, and on and on we talk c**p; yet we ought to recognize how we allow folk to take us for granted. The irony of it all is that we justify our acceptance of being the welcome mat to all who see us as the N- word of the world– you guys and gals that are buried in money-you also is considered being the N- word- like a monkey is a monkey even with a suit on. Please don’t say- it’s not what one calls you it’s what you answer to.

The answer-in my opinion-is that we should show are true colors- in the spirit of our fore parents- show some solidarity-

    Boycott Christmas 2012

She is not a Latina, she is German. Which makes me wonder why that is not mentioned much. Maybe they are trying to play on our abilities to assume things based on what the media writes, mis-writes, or mis-quotes. Still it does put a damper on things. But it’s not like she is advising the entire nation of Puerto Ricans just like half these other political idiots don’t really speak for the people. We should get pass this as it is giving her more attention than she deserves and is no way worse than what the tea baggers and their leader Mittens have said. It did what it did, made her look like a bigot and that’s it, case closed.
