Hey Kids, The Old Model of Success is Obsolete, So What Do You Do Now? [Video]
Should you go to college? Should your kid go to college? If so, why? If not, why not? What is college all about? And in the age of globalization, how does
going to college really help you stand out? A 4.0 doesn’t guarantee success in the real world anymore, so what can you do?
Well Jullien Gordon has some answers to those questions. In this TedX video, Gordon tells young people what they need to know in order to make themselves valuable in the era of globalization. This from the TedX description of the video:
The former, linear model of success is obsolete. Students are not getting the return on education investments that they did just 1 decade ago. Jullien Gordon helps this new generation realize their full potential by identifying four types of capital that blend work in harmony. The need for balance between book smarts and street smarts is more crucial than ever

I agree. I recently wrote on my blog about my choice not to go to college, how it affected me and how I have chosen to raise my children knowing that there is a possibility that they may choose to follow a different route other than going to college because that is what you are supposed to do.
Well if the outcome of us owning useful institutes because we went to COLLEGE-I can safely say for us to continue to go-so we can be taught how to be self reliant.
On the other hand-so many African Americans graduated from college-and when one look around-where are the businesses that were created by the so called educated Negros? So when the johnny come lately Negro send their children to these so called higher educational institutes-and spend their hard earned money on their education-and find a many of them lack the ability to emulate the owners of the corporation that they are trying to be employed by-I suppose we shall see if it’s beneficial for one to go to college for four years. Maybe we should consider specialized training- hint- that’s what Uncle Charlie is doing with his children they too realize it can be a waste of time and MONEY.
