Watch: Prison Inmates Build Start-Up Companies Through “The Last Mile” Program

Prison in America has become mostly about punishment and profit, so it is nice to see programs which intend on training prisoners for life outside the prison walls.

A programs called “The Last Mile” teaches prison inmates about technology using books, videos, and tech mentors such as MC Hammer and Guy Kawasaki.

And we’re not just talking about learning how to send an email or download a .pdf file. Some of the prisoners recently participated in a start-up demo day, where the inmate entrepreneurs pitch their start-up ideas. They are also crafting business plans for their start-ups.

The pilot program hopes to help inmates catch up with technology that they’ve missed out on while in prison.

This appears to be a great program. I hope they are sharing Network Marketing Programs with them because Tradition Business for the average person with money to start is difficult. Network Marketing allows ANYONE to start a potential Billion Dollar Business on the strength of a credit card, and be able to work it right there from a prison cell, leave a legacy for their children and have a substantial residual income prior to leaving the prison walls. Check out my website above and see the next Trillion Dollar Brand.

Yes! Inmates are people too! Especially those as my son setneced to a life sentece for a crime he did not commit AT ALL nor was there. The state needs to pay for programs such as this for the wrong sentences they give on some such as the brother accused for a rape he didn’t do, wanted a NFL career, My son who wouldn’t think of doing what they gave him a life sentence for…I mean will he be another to have served many years only to find out when they get around to having another trial, etc that he was NOT there as he wasn’t? Taking away his freedom because of another bad decision the judges/jury made just get the trial overwith? None of them give a d**n. I hope that something happens to thier sons and daughters that even though they are judge/jury that only worse will happen to these people. We have suffered enough for bad decisions. God will sort them out! You watch and see. Look at the young man 27 years old they put to death only to find out that he was not a murderer and they now have the right person in Texas. WHen is the justice system going to take time to realize how wrong they are, how wrong they been and pay penalties for how they hae dismantled and still dismantling LIVES, families. May they all burn in a LIVING h**l SOON!

The system use to allow the inmates to earn a degree while serving their time, now they are only allowed a certificate. I wonder why? Is it because they are too busy spending the funding on themselves or the inmates are never to get out and have a descend life before they ae locked back up if they get out?
I feel you Kim. I too have a son in prison for something he didn’t do. No evidence, but they gave him life and it wasn’t for murder it was for break n entry. God say vengence is His. So I leave it there. I pray that your anger softens, their family and love ones had nothing to do with what the parent did. Just as you say God is going to take care of it all.

One thing we all can do is support in any way we can these type of positive programs. I believe every black church should have a working relationship with at least one prison or jail.

HIV is synthetic. It has been developed over a number of years and it has an affinity for people of color. What the science and medical evidence concludes is that the HIV enzyme seeks out a receptor site in the blood of the Black genome. The receptor site is the CCR5 Delta 32+ (positive) gene that all people of color have. In the same sense, on the other end of the spectrum, is the 15 percent Caucasian population of the world, which is CCR5 Delta 32-(negative) gene. That means that under no circumstances, whether HIV came through the air, intravenous drug usage or any form of s****l activity, would the virus be transferable in Caucasian sector of the world’s population, which is basically of northern European descent.

It is speculated by some experts that, in a worse case scenario, 85 percent of the world’s population could potentially perish under these designer viruses and designer synthetic biological agents. What we’re looking at here—because of this identified gene of the Black genome, this CCR5 Delta32+ (positive)—we are potentially looking at the eradication of all people of color. The bible states “My people perish for lack of knowledge. The true devil doesn’t wear red tights, a cape with horns protruding from his forehead instead, the devil incarnate are diabolical Caucasian scientist (men and women) in white lab coats.
