Barack Obama’s half-brother, George Obama, makes his film debut in a documentary that is critical of the president.
The movie, 2016: Obama’s America, was produced by Dinesh D’Souza, a man who wrote a best-selling book that maligned President Obama as a enraged socialist. It should’ve probably been called Dreams of D’Souza since it was more a work of fiction than an accurate assessment of President Obama.
In this documentary, D’Souza refers to a news report four years ago about George Obama living in a hut in Nairobi, Kenya, as ”something out of Slumdog Millionaire.” D’Souza says he thought that the report must’ve been wrong, that Barack Obama would never treat his own brother like that, so he went in search of George Obama.
Once D’Souza tracked down George Obama, they chat on a bench about President Obama, and whether George Obama feels that his brother has done enough for him.
“I think he has a family of his own,” George Obama says. “I’m a member of his family, but I’m over-age, so I help myself.”
D’Souza challenges George Obama’s thinking, telling him that the President Obama has said that Americans ought to be “our brother’s keeper”, but George Obama just ignores it, and says he can take care of himself, and that the president has other issues to worry about.
“George doesn’t go along with the worship of the father and he is politically incorrect on a lot of topics,” says D’Souza. “And he’s particularly interesting because he lives in rubble on a few dollars a day while his powerful, multimillionaire brother doesn’t lift a finger to help him.”
Curiously, George Obama also seems to believe that his people would’ve been better off if white colonizers had remained in his country for a longer period.
