Judge Sets George Zimmerman’s Bond at $1 Million Dollars

A judge has ordered George Zimmerman’s bond be set at one million dollars. Judge Kenneth Lester was not happy with Zimmerman though, calling him a ‘manipulator.’

“By any definition, the defendant has flaunted the system,” Lester wrote. “It appears to this court that the defendant is manipulating the system for his own benefit.”

Zimmerman was initially freed on $150,000 bond, but when the judge learned that Zimmerman and his wife had knowingly misled the court about their finances, bond was revoked, and Zimmerman’s wife- Shellie Zimmerman-was arrested on perjury charges.

Shellie Zimmerman initially told the judge that the couple didn’t have much money, implying that they were destitute, when in fact they had over $130,000 at their disposal.

George Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara had requested  that Zimmerman be re-released on $150,000 bond, while the prosecution wanted him held until trial.

It is not clear how long it will take for Zimmerman to arrange bond.

he still is grinning because he only has to pay 10% of 1million. in florida, the law states you only have to pay 10%. so he’s still getting off! this is sad and senseless. but Karma is a bit88ch and i’m waiting for him to get his real soon.

George Zimmerman will eventually answer for his crime. He manipulates the system. He is trying to manipulate this case. The truth will soon come to light and he will pay for causing Trayvons life to be taken.

The GOP, Tea Party, Christian fundamentalists and some Kneegro politicians sets that tone by calling the President of the USA all sorts of names. The infulence of our leaders saying these things towards the President without consequence, lets the lady know she could excerize right to free speech. Don’t forget to vote!

Why would the judge offer Zimmerman bond after deceiving the court?

This case is a tragedy all of the way around, in no small measure becuase Treyvon is unable to tell his side.

However, go for my gun and you will DIE, Black, White, Brown or any color!

The kid played gangsta and lost!

I don’t know what happened, just like most of the posters don’t know what happened. In a racially charged country like ours, it will be impossible to get an unbiased jury, and when the semblance of such is found, there will be massive disagreement with any decision they reach. I hope I will not be called for that one.
