Heat Wave Madness: Man Holds Air Condition Repairman at Gunpoint
Stan Nguyen wasn’t pleased with the job his air conditioning repairman did on his unit, so he held the repairman at gunpoint until he fixed the unit to his
liking, according to police.
The repairman, Sean Hickman, got away long enough to call police, according to Volusia County sheriff’s spokesman Brandon Haught. Hickman says Nguyen became angry when he began explaining the air conditioning unit’s problem and refused to pay.
Nguyen, 54, claimed Hickman ruined his air conditioning unit, the report shows.
Hickman said he attempted to give Nguyen an invoice for the work. Nguyen then pulled out a gun and pointed it at the ground and attempted to fire it, but the safety was on.
But then Nguyen removed the safety, and that’s when Hickman took cover behind his van.
Nguyen was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
