Condoleezza Rice Reconsidering Spot as Romney’s V.P. ?
According to right wing blog Drudge, Romney’s Vice Presidential pics are narrowing, and Condoleezza Rice is at the top of the heap:
Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, 'Meet The VP' -- just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal.
And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!
The timing of the announcement is now set for 'coming weeks'.
It was Condi who received two standing ovations at Romney's Utah retreat a few weeks ago, and everyone left with her name on their lips.
Rice made an extended argument for American leadership in the world.
In recent days, she emailed supporters:
"2012 is perhaps a turning point for the United States."
"The upcoming elections loom as one of the most important in my lifetime," she warned. "I'm very often asked to speak about our current foreign policy and the challenges that lie before us. However, we, as a country, are not going to be able to address any of those international challenges unless we first get our domestic house in order."
Considering the source of the information, this could all be a diversion from the awful couple of weeks that Romney has had. He’s been assailed by the media for not offering up more than one tax return, and the chorus of reporters asking where his $250 million dollars lives, here or abroad, is increasing with each day. This could all be a tactic to take attention away from his awful political week.
Previously, Rice said that she was not interested in being Vice President, but some are now asking whether her ascent to the top of Romney’s short list will be cause enough for her to reconsider.

If Rice accepts this offer I will finally conclude that her brilliant mind has been blown to bits. For a smart woman like Condi, being a part of the the Bush administration was bad enough. Please honey, don’t.
Condi Rice, is exactly what I alway thought she was and is, STUPID, STUPIDIT, STUPIDER. She definitely is not dumb but
brains washed. I have a cousin like her, she has acquired a little bit of comfortability, by buying rental properties, so she has the same mentality as Condi Rice. Even if she is selected as VP, she will never get enough black voteds to get Mitt elected. Along with
Mitt, tax problems, Condi, will not help him.
