Why Are U.S. Military Tanks Roaming the Streets of St. Louis? [Video]
by Yvette Carnell
The U.S. military claims it’s a training to teach soldiers to drive tanks, but since when is that the protocol? Why does this particular training exercise have military armored tanks roaming the streets of a major U.S. city?
Apparently, army troops all the way from Maryland are training in Missouri, but why? The army has their own taxpayer funded make-believe urban theaters to practice war games, so again, why are they in St. Louis?
Are folks being slowly introduced to the site of military tanks on American streets? Kind of like this recent Marine Corps ad which attempted to get people accustomed to the idea of the Marine Corps policing cities:
It’s a nice ad, but I’d just as well prefer the Marine Corps be dropped off in other countries to “defend freedom”. Unless America’s attacked, I really don’t see how our “communities” have much use for them. The police can defend communities. Isn’t that their job? And doesn’t the National Guard get called in when all h**l breaks loose?
Anyway, having the military policing U.S. cities is dangerous, and any hint of that should give us all pause. If you’re not at least mildly concerned, then you don’t have a good sense of history.
