Jon Stewart Jokes that Republicans Appear to be on JP Morgan’s Payroll

Jon Stewart became a funny man while watching the testimony of JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon.  Dimon testified this week before the Senate Banking Committee, and couldn’t help but become appalled by the manner by which Republicans were kissing up to the CEO.

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) said to Dimon that it wasn’t a big deal that JP Morgan lost $2 billion from bad derivatives trades because,  ”we lose twice that every day in Washington.”

“Does Sen. DeMint think that spending money is the same as losing money?” Stewart asked. “‘You know, I had $10 million here yesterday, but now all I see is this f*****g highway.’” He then said: “They’re sucking up to Jamie Dimon like they’re on JPMorgan’s payroll.” And in fact, the biggest campaign donor to many of the members on the Senate Banking Committee is … JPMorgan.
