From Your Paycheck to Your Pastor’s Wallet: How Prosperity Tithing Just Got Easier

Before the advent of technology, you had to put money in a plate that was passed around the church in order to give tithes. Now that day is gone, and you can give tithes with the press of a button.

Programmers have come together to create a GivingKIOSK, which allows congregants to give money using touch screen software. Churchgoers can now use the touchscreen to input their debit or credit card information without having to reach into their pockets during church service.

“Too many Church organizations do not have the convenience of paying by credit card or debit and losing the ability to capture Tithes and Offerings that the church may not have otherwise received,” the company’s web site proclaims. “Checks are on the decline and the Church community needs a way to keep up with the changing landscape of the younger generation. GivingKIOSK was developed and designed to meet this need.”

I can hear Creflo Dollar and Eddie Lee Long cackling from all the way over here.

While I understand that there are so many ministries that are led by men who have character issues and are indeed greedy, it grieves me that you all always think that the tithe and offering go to the pastor. Have you forgotten or even considered that there are millions of ministers that DO NOT get a salary and still have JOBS outside of their ministries that feed their families? If you don’t want to give to the church then don’t but please do not continue to unfairly bash the economic systems that allow great and vital ministries to bless countless.

It’s funny to me that you never talk about the monies other institutions and their greedy a*s CEO’s make off of you and every other American. CEO’s make more money than most will ever make in a life time. And they don’t give a s**t about anyone else. Not even the workers that actually drive the company. The fact of the matter is that you all never consider the WHITE ministries that do the same thing! Why don’t you criticize the Rim Shop? The weave shop? The fact of the matter is that pastor have to bury your trifling a*s! Bury your trifling a*s mama! And your no good criminal a*s brother. When there is no insurance the church kicks in to help. Write that! Research and find out about the pastors that get little to no pay but preach and teach their hearts out weekly. Not every church is mega. I am so tired of you stupid a*s low budget writers that feel that you are in the know.

the same people who struggle with being in relationship with God are the same people who do not comprehend tithes and offerings. The money is used for multiple things not just a pastor salary their are people who do all kind of work that the sunday churchers do not see. You cannot pay a person any amount of money for their time that is invested in making sure your kids are taught the Word of God materials that are used. Or pay for lights gas heat cleaning toliet paper paper towels 1000 cups of coffee just like it take money to run your house it is the same for the house for a place to worship. I am so sorry people are so in the dark as to what it really takes to run a church, and how little people actually give. Your dollar doesn’t do anything when you put it in the offering plate unless it is your last dollar and if your heart is right when giving it. There are too many people on the outside and not really looking from the inside out.
