The NAACP Speaks on Creflo Dollar, Who is Accused of Punching, Stomping His Daughter

The NAACP is standing firmly in support of the rights to fairness for Pastor Creflo Dollar.  Pastor Dollar was recently arrested after an incident during which he was accused of stomping, punching and choking his 15-year old daughter.  His 19-year old daughter supported the 15-year old’s story, but there are mixed accounts of what happened that night.

“Today, many parents in any household have vivid recollections of being firmly disciplined during childhood and can directly reflect on how that discipline made them better adults. In order to ensure fairness, the NAACP wants to make sure that first responders to alleged domestic parent/child dispute calls are skillfully trained to clearly distinguish discipline from child abuse,” the NAACP press release said.

The incident with Pastor Dollar led to a heated conversation about the limits of parental discipline.  Some have said that Pastor Dollar went to far, and that the 19-year old’s corroboration is confirmation of that fact.  Others feel that we do not want to live in a world where parents can go to jail when their kids call the police for any form of discipline.

And the sad part about it, policeman will kill them and say you didn’t raise them! I listened to the 911 call, in my opinion there was no distress of any kind in the 15 year olds voice. It was as if she was getting back @ him.

Nobody know s what happened, but the NAACP involved is nothing but bs, they supported the eradication of blacks during the eugenics movement, and any other politically motivated stance. I’m still trying to understand why Creflo’s word is bond, this is same hypocrite that backed up and supported a child molester without considering the children affected, the same fake prosperity preacher that made erroneous statements about lining up church members and killing them one by one if they didn’t pay tithes to his church, plus dumping they bodies in a ditch if he had his way. It appears people are more willing praise and worship man than God, which allows common sense to take a back seat in protecting our youth. Why don’t nobody care about the truth no more, but claim to be Christians. Some of my black are truly ignorant, I know ple carenty of cases where abuse didn’t help these kids as adults, and they ended up acting out their aggression as adults, still being incarcerated, do people care about facts because it doesn’t appear so. @ wealthylady, did you know this 15 year old child? Do you know if her tone had something to do with her maturity because not every child distress is conveyed in the same manner, this pastor is pubilc figure with money that can make him appear less culpable, and some children are just more resilient than others

Naacp should worry about more important things. Creflo dollar is nothing but a con man.. the only thing he would get from me is oak and water. A oak limb on his a*s and water out of his eyes..

I have no use for parent with their slave mentality of beating. If you love the Lord so much controll yourself and stop being mean to your children and let no mean no. I dont know what happened but I do know the NAACP needs to spend time helping people get jobs and leading efforts to enhance black businesses maintain and hold jobs. I am a former business owner and got no help from the NAACP.

I am so fed up with the govt. allowing thesr grown kids to manipulate the adults. We have a generation that has no respect for authority and will tell you what they will and will not do. I am so proud of Dr. Dollar thst he set tje rules in his home
For the 19 year old that called, she would be living somewhere that would accomodate and assure her safety. I am sorry but that 15 year old wanted to show her behind I would have left her in foster care. Either follow the rules of the home or live somewhere you can run the show.
It is just a d**n shame how the police treated this pastor

re else. If you feel your safety

The reason the NAACP is so pro Creeplo is that he’s probably a big donor or has promised to be one.

I don’t know what really happen but I will say at her age, living in the comfort of my home I would give her something to call 911 for. Children are taking over and just want to do whatever they feel like doing. Lord I’m glad my children are grown. No way would I take what these children are putting down.

I think Creflo went too far…I have went too far in disciplining my child. I do not think Creflo should have been arrested.

The NAACP, really needs to step back on this matter, and let the facts and Police report speak for itself. There is nothing complicated about this incident. Its plane and simple- CREFLO DOLLAR over stepped his bound and committed inappropriate actions against his daughter. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED. His 19y old daughter confirmed what the 15y reported as true. Why are these black organizations, attempting to deny this fact, by making this arrest into a race or cultural issue? It is not. It is a case of ABUSE. Domestic and Child abuse perpetrators come from all walks of life. They are most commonly well known public figures as well as every day common citizens. Overall, if anything, the least and most NAACP could do is use this incident to discuss in a public formum, the disciplining measures most commonly used in some or many African American households– that includes physical corporal punishment. When a child reaches their teen years, physical punishment or discipline is most unneccessary, considering this teen child is only a few years from being a young adult. If Creflo feels that he should have never been arrested, apparently his daughter did not feel that she should have been CHOKED, SLAPPED, PUNCHED, and THROWN to the GROUND AND BEAT WITH A SHOE— simply because she relayed to him that she did not want to talk about it as she walked away from him. THIS NEGRO IS IN DENIAL– and so is anyone who supports him.

The Government or law enforcement will not get involved with how a NEGRO discipline their children, if a NEGRO does not give them sufficient reason to get involved. Creflo is not above the law. This case helps elevated and bring emphasis on the cultural discipline practices that have long been displayed in Black American Culture for some time. Although, many households dont use physical punishement on their kids, many others do. I too recieved it from my mother, yet very rarely or in a mild manner from my dad. As a Psychologist now, I definitely felt that my mother, who was a very good mother, could have exercised more progressive options than physical discipline. She did not use it alot, but I never agreed with it back then and I still dont know. In retrospect, it reflects lazy parenting- a suspension of exploring other options to address the conflict and resolution. WHIPPINGS– are psychic generational transmittance of the abuse Blacks recieved in slavery. This is documented and obvious. I dont care how I turned out. I did not unfold into a successful man because I got my a*s beat. There were far more other factors that played a part in my success– things that she did. However, if she knew better, she would have done better. Today I know better, and I do not use such tactics on my kids and they are doing very well.

Hiz daughterz need 2 b skooled on the consequencez of their actionz & the father needz 2 know tht hiz fame should not b more important than being able 2 sit down an skool hiz gurlz on more than consuming thingz. No one knows what happened. Him being a pastor doesn’t mean he isn’t human. Many of you are in such denial about how discipline or lack there of has affected my generation & the ones after coming up behind me. All of us knows someone that tried to buck on his/her parent around the age of 15; cause he/she was smelling him/herself. The parent knocked him on his a*s & let him know he wasn’t running s**t; but his mouth. He may have went to far @ that point; but no one knows what brought him to this point. Back in the day if you called the police on your parents & you were being disrespectful the officer would give you a tongue lashing for wasting his time, if you not injured but pride was a little hurt. There is a difference between abuse & discipline. Time out doesn’t work for everyone. Better her Father discipline her now out of love then an officer shoot her down

I am most definitely NOT a fan of crefwhore dollah! I aagree with one of the above comments of the likes of him, Slice(price), td snake are conmen preying on dumb a*s citizens! They are in the same category as jim jones but with a different twist! WAKEUP YOU FOOLS! However; this little heifer was probably long over due to get her a*s kicked good by her parents! Too many of our black kids regardless of their socio-economic status are getting into more and more c**p because they are starting to believe they can get away with the same thing those white kids do! Ten years from now i would like to see her and her 19 year young sister and see where they are at in life and get theri reflection of this issue then! YOU BLACK K PEOPLE IN GENERAL AND BLACK YOUTH MOST SPECIFICALLY HAD BETTER WAKE YOUR DUMB a***s UP!
