Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman: What if the Tables Were Turned?

by Yvette Carnell

When Geralda Rivera said that Trayvon Martin was partially responsible for his own murder because he wore “thug” clothes, he was saying what only saying what most Zimmerman supporters have been thinking all along, but refuse to say aloud. It is awfully sad, and unfair, that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, and white boys and men who look like him, can dawn a hoodie whenever they like, and never be considered a threat. This is not about hoodies or “thug” clothes, but the color of the men wearing the clothes. It’s about freedom. Everything else is excuse making.

To the Zimmerman supporters who say this has nothing to do with race, take a look at this photoshopped image that’s making the rounds on Facebook and Twitter. Tell me that you’d be still be supporting Zimmerman if the tables were turned. Would you still be donating $1,000 per day to Zimmerman’s support fund if he resembled the image on the right? And for once, be honest with yourself:

Naw it would be no support for Zimmerman if the tables were turned. Most people who are supporting him are saying Trayvon had on thug clothes, what type of bs is that. They do not want to admit the truth b/c that will leave them having to face reality.

IF THE TABLE WAS TURNED ,HE (THE SHOOTER) WOULD BE IN JAIL . NOT ON BOND. ALREADAY HAD A TRIAL AND NOW WOULD HAVE LIFE IN PRISON WITH NO PAROLE OR THE SENTENCE WOULD BE THE DEATH PENALTY.
