African American History in One Powerful Image

To get a full grasp of African-American history, we’re always required to spend a good deal of time in the minds of our stalwarts; W.E.B. Dubois, Madame C.J. Walker, Booker T. Washington, Sojourner Truth, MLK and the like. Understanding African-American history requires an understanding of the plight of African-Americans, which requires context. That hasn’t changed.
