Mitt Romney to Poor Moms: “My Wife Can Stay at Home, But You Can’t”

Republican Presidential nominee Mitt Romney recently stood up stay-at-home moms by defending his wife Ann against those who feel that she has never worked a day in her life.  However, Romney previously stated that poor single mothers should not have the same options as his wife, claiming that they can only have dignity by going to work every day.

Dr. Boyce Watkins discusses this issue with Howard University Political Science Professor Wilmer Leon.  The video is below:

mitt romneys wife is a different story…she can stay at home because she has a man who makes enough to support them both….but poor moms should and have to work to support themselves! Dignity aside …why should they stay home?
Who would support them? Why should taxpayers support them..thru welfare/ social services?

Why should working people, support others …bad choices!
How many working , responsive people who would love to stay home —and not miss out on their kids lives–but just can’t afford to do so ….or would to have another child , but don’t -due to economics.

Yet the poor of the united states —in a sense have more freedom due to the fact they are living on the fringe of society…have all the kids they want, stay at home apply for numerous government aid–social services, food stamps, help w/ bills, public housing –medicaid….hey some of us working stiffs don’t even have medical and only go when its serious…these guys make the emergency room their regular doctor—because it will be paid for the government and fill up the clinics!where doctors and clever bill accountant fraud the gvmt …and then you wonder why the gvmt is going under and bad feeling over immigrants hitting up all the re’s and their bills not being paid for —because if the poor are living on the fringe of society…they are not even on the register!
