Obama White House Pays Women Less Than Men, Records Show
Democrats have spent recent weeks calling Republicans out for their war on women, but the White House may need to clean 
up its own backyard before it fully engages Republicans on the issue of pay parity for women.
According to a 2011 report, White House staff female employees earned a median annual salary of $60,000, which was about 18 percent less than the median salary for male employees ($71,000).
President Obama signed the Ledbetter Act, which mandates equal pay for women, and often rails against pay disparities in stump speeches, so it is surprising that a pay gap exists at the White House.
This is not the first time, however, that some have made the case that President Obama has a “woman” problem.
In a 2011 article titled ”The White House Boys’ Club: President Obama Has a Woman Problem, TIME magazine’s Amy Sullivan wrote:
“There’s a looseness to Obama when he’s hanging out with the boys club that doesn’t appear in co-ed gatherings,” and “The president blows off steam on the golf course with male colleagues and friends. He takes to the White House basketball court with NBA stars, men’s college players, and male cabinet members and members of Congress.”

I am open to further considering “that there are two sides to every story”. I think there may be other factors to consider that challenges the notion about discrepancy in pay with women at the whitehouse. A really good writer would find and list the reasons that either the Whitehouse would give or what could be an important factor in general to explain this discrepancy, then challenge and support their own premise which may be discriminatory. Based upon how this article is presented one could get the sense that the author is projecting a bit of jealousy, impatience and misinformation that hinders her and those who read her words from seeing the whole picture.
I myself would certainly venture to say there was something a whole lot of something left out of this article. Like what is the positions in the White House do the woman hold. Are they grounds keepers, interns, etc.? Besides that I’ll take $60,000.00 a year anyday of the week compared to my $18,000.00. Thank you.
since i’m sure they were employed before he came into office and he does not determine how much employees are paid. even if he suggests a higher wages, it will not be automatic. why is it being said “obama whitehouse” he has no control. stop blaming him for everything… STUPID
