Dr. Boyce Tells CNN: “Trayvon Prosecutions Should Go all The Way to the Top”

In this video on CNN, Dr. Boyce Watkins argues that the arrest of George Zimmerman should only be the beginning of the prosecutions in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.  Watkins argues that there should be an investigation of any sort of misconduct committed in the past by those who might have let George Zimmerman off the hook for past indiscretions.

One Response to Dr. Boyce Tells CNN: “Trayvon Prosecutions Should Go all The Way to the Top”

If there was indeed obstruction, if any part of this investigation was botched, then it does need to be investigated and dealt with.

On both the shooting and the police response, everyone needs to deal with facts and evidence, not knee-jerk reactions.

Watkins is right in saying that Zimmerman deserves his day in court. But that righteous standard should also preclude Watkins from making baseless charges that Martin was “chased down and shot in cold blood” because of his race and attire.
