Elderly Chicago Man Arrested for Shooting Burglar

Chicago homeowners are livid that an 80 year old Chicago man was arrested for shooting a man who tried to break into his home.

ABC News Chicago reports that 19-year-old Anthony Robinson was breaking into the home of 80-year-old Homer Wright Monday morning when Wright shot the intruder.

Robinson was hospitalized for a gunshot wound to the leg and charged with felony burglary, but Wright was charged in the shooting.

The Chicago Tribune reports:

Wright was charged with one felony count of unlawful use of a weapon after police discovered he had two prior weapons convictions from 1968 and 1994, officials said. Records show Wright also was convicted of theft in 1990.

Wright turned his gun over to detectives. Wright was released Tuesday on $10,000 bond.

According to this informational, Mr. Wright was Mr. Wrong to even possess a weapon. He has felony charges. Felons are not supposed to have weapons. He weapon was illegal. Where’s
    the story?

He had prior weapons convictions from 1968 and 1994, officials said. Records show Wright also was convicted of theft in 1990. So I guess he could not have been in fear for his life in his own house an 1968, daayum how far back do you go when the person is White? Anything older than 2 days is to old. What type of convictions have all these New Immargrants had in their past? Who keeps their records? Why are we being foolish and thinking for a minute that it’s all EQUAL and they always tell the truth. To bad his name isn’t George Zimmerman, he would be at home waiting for his check. Victums of Violent Crime.
