Bill Introduced Calling for the Impeachment of President Obama

Republican Congressman Walter B. Jones is pushing a resolution calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama if he decides to intervene in Syria.  Jones says that any war without Congressional approval is unconstitutional.

The Jones move contradicts a statement by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who says that in order to carry out an attack, the president only needs the authorization of the UN and NATO.

“Expressing the sense of congress that the use of offensive military force by a president without prior and clear authorization of an Act of Congress constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under Article II, Section 4 of the constitution,” Jones’s resolution said.

Panetta says that if the Obama Administration decides to intervene in Syria, it only needs to let Congress know what it did.

“Our goal would be to seek international permission and we would come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this,” Panetta said. “Whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress, I think those are issues I think we would have to discuss as we decide what to do here.”

We had a president who deliberately lied to us about Iraq and WMDs. We had a president who sat still and looked stupidly about him when informed of the first plane strike on 9/11/2001. (Who incidnetally was friends with the so called perpetrator of this event) We had a president who sent billions of dollars to Iraq to pay for a war that should never have been. We had a president who was a drunk as well as his daughters.

I could go on and on with type of critique. But answer me this: Why was he not considered for impeachment? By the way I forgot how he stole the election.

Obama lied about Libya & Nigeria; so he and Bush is in the same boat.
Let’s start being honest across the board. There were a strong movement from us Democrats to oust Bush from office following the IRAQ invasion, but it seems now we have a war time President and we sit idly by as if ok for a democrat to bomb a foreign sovereign country with no repercussions.
Let’s just be honest across the board and realize we’re damned if we do and damned we don’t. Bush did it with grin. Obama doing it with smile. (No difference, samething a different day)

      With love always ;-)

I have a question for Congressman Jones; if a missile is being fired at the USA right now, does President Obama needs to come first to Congress to defend America?
Even a newly born baby knows the correct answer to that question. This Congressman is just being arrogant. He should simply resign.
